महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-44

दैवं वाप्यथ वा पित्र्यं योऽश्नीयाद्ब्राह्मणादिषु ।
अस्नातो ब्राह्मणो राजंस्तस्याधर्मो गवानृतम् ॥४४॥
44. daivaṁ vāpyatha vā pitryaṁ yo'śnīyādbrāhmaṇādiṣu ,
asnāto brāhmaṇo rājaṁstasyādharmo gavānṛtam.
44. daivam vā api atha vā pitryam yaḥ aśnīyāt brāhmaṇa-ādiṣu
asnātaḥ brāhmaṇaḥ rājan tasya adharmaḥ go-anṛtam
44. rājan yaḥ asnātaḥ brāhmaṇaḥ daivam vā api atha vā
pitryam brāhmaṇa-ādiṣu aśnīyāt tasya adharmaḥ go-anṛtam
44. O King, a brāhmaṇa who, without having bathed, eats at rituals for deities or ancestors, or among brāhmaṇas and others, commits a transgression (adharma) equivalent to lying about cows.
