महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-57, verse-94

गान्धारराजपुत्रोऽभूच्छकुनिः सौबलस्तथा ।
दुर्योधनस्य माता च जज्ञातेऽर्थविदावुभौ ॥९४॥
94. gāndhārarājaputro'bhūcchakuniḥ saubalastathā ,
duryodhanasya mātā ca jajñāte'rthavidāvubhau.
94. gāndhāra-rāja-putraḥ abhūt śakuniḥ saubalaḥ tathā
duryodhanasya mātā ca jajñāte artha-vidau ubhau
94. Then, Śakuni, the son of the king of Gāndhāra, and also known as Saubala, came into existence. And Duryodhana's mother along with him, both of them astute in matters of purpose, were born.
