महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-57, verse-74

वेदानध्यापयामास महाभारतपञ्चमान् ।
सुमन्तुं जैमिनिं पैलं शुकं चैव स्वमात्मजम् ॥७४॥
74. vedānadhyāpayāmāsa mahābhāratapañcamān ,
sumantuṁ jaiminiṁ pailaṁ śukaṁ caiva svamātmajam.
74. vedān adhyāpayāmāsa mahābhāratapañcamān sumantum
jaiminim pailam śukam ca eva svam ātmajam
74. He taught the Vedas, considering the Mahābhārata as the fifth (important text), to Sumantu, Jaimini, Paila, and also his own son Śuka.
