अतीव रूपसंपन्नां सिद्धानामपि काङ्क्षिताम् ।
दृष्ट्वैव च स तां धीमांश्चकमे चारुदर्शनाम् ।
विद्वांस्तां वासवीं कन्यां कार्यवान्मुनिपुंगवः ॥५७॥
57. atīva rūpasaṁpannāṁ siddhānāmapi kāṅkṣitām ,
dṛṣṭvaiva ca sa tāṁ dhīmāṁścakame cārudarśanām ,
vidvāṁstāṁ vāsavīṁ kanyāṁ kāryavānmunipuṁgavaḥ.
57. atīva rūpasaṃpannām siddhānām api
kāṅkṣitām dṛṣṭvā eva ca saḥ tām dhīmān
cakame cārudarśanām vidvān tām
vāsavīm kanyām kāryavān munipuṅgavaḥ
57. Upon seeing that maiden, Vasavi—who was endowed with exquisite beauty, desired even by celestials, and lovely to behold—the wise, intelligent, and purposeful sage Parashara immediately desired her.
