महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-27, verse-39

सिंहं केसरिणं क्रुद्धमतिक्रम्याभिनर्दसि ।
सृगाल इव मूढत्वान्नृसिंहं कर्ण पाण्डवम् ॥३९॥
39. siṁhaṁ kesariṇaṁ kruddhamatikramyābhinardasi ,
sṛgāla iva mūḍhatvānnṛsiṁhaṁ karṇa pāṇḍavam.

sṛgālaḥ iva mūḍhatvāt nṛsiṃham karṇa pāṇḍavam

39. O Karṇa, out of foolishness, you roar against the man-lion Pāṇḍava (Arjuna), just like a jackal, even while you surpass (in daring) a furious, maned lion.
