महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-27, verse-27

हितार्थं धार्तराष्ट्रस्य ब्रवीमि त्वा न हिंसया ।
श्रद्धत्स्वैतन्मया प्रोक्तं यदि तेऽस्ति जिजीविषा ॥२७॥
27. hitārthaṁ dhārtarāṣṭrasya bravīmi tvā na hiṁsayā ,
śraddhatsvaitanmayā proktaṁ yadi te'sti jijīviṣā.
27. hitārtham dhārtarāṣṭrasya bravīmi tvā na hiṃsayā |
śraddhatsva etat mayā proktam yadi te asti jijīviṣā
27. aham dhārtarāṣṭrasya hitārtham tvā na hiṃsayā bravīmi yadi te jijīviṣā asti,

27. I speak to you for the welfare of Dhṛtarāṣṭra's son, not with any intention of harming you. If you have a desire to live, then believe this which has been said by me.
