महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-27, verse-15

ततो दुन्दुभिनिर्घोषो मृदङ्गानां च सर्वशः ।
सिंहनादः सवादित्रः कुञ्जराणां च निस्वनः ॥१५॥
15. tato dundubhinirghoṣo mṛdaṅgānāṁ ca sarvaśaḥ ,
siṁhanādaḥ savāditraḥ kuñjarāṇāṁ ca nisvanaḥ.

15. Then, from all sides, there arose the loud sound of large drums and mṛdaṅgas, a roaring battle cry accompanied by musical instruments, and the trumpeting of elephants.
