महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-61, verse-63

बृहस्पतेर्बृहत्कीर्तेर्देवर्षेर्विद्धि भारत ।
अंशाद्द्रोणं समुत्पन्नं भारद्वाजमयोनिजम् ॥६३॥
63. bṛhaspaterbṛhatkīrterdevarṣerviddhi bhārata ,
aṁśāddroṇaṁ samutpannaṁ bhāradvājamayonijam.

63. Know, O Bhārata, that Droṇa, the son of Bharadvāja, was born from a portion of the greatly renowned divine sage Bṛhaspati, and was not born from a womb.
