महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-61, verse-35

चन्द्रहन्तेति यस्तेषां कीर्तितः प्रवरोऽसुरः ।
शुनको नाम राजर्षिः स बभूव नराधिपः ॥३५॥
35. candrahanteti yasteṣāṁ kīrtitaḥ pravaro'suraḥ ,
śunako nāma rājarṣiḥ sa babhūva narādhipaḥ.
35. candra-hantā iti yaḥ teṣām kīrtitaḥ pravaraḥ asuraḥ
śunakaḥ nāma rājarṣiḥ saḥ babhūva narādhipaḥ
35. The foremost demon among them, who was renowned as 'Moon-killer' (Candra-hantā), later became King Śunaka, a royal sage.
