महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-41, verse-98

अवादयन्दुन्दुभींश्च शतशश्चैव पुष्करान् ।
सिंहनादांश्च विविधान्विनेदुः पुरुषर्षभाः ॥९८॥
98. avādayandundubhīṁśca śataśaścaiva puṣkarān ,
siṁhanādāṁśca vividhānvineduḥ puruṣarṣabhāḥ.

siṃhanādān ca vividhān vineduḥ puruṣarṣabhāḥ

98. And the excellent men (puruṣarṣabhāḥ) caused hundreds of drums (dundubhi, puṣkara) to sound, and they roared various lion-like battle cries (siṃhanāda).
