महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-41, verse-39

भीष्म उवाच ।
राजन्किमत्र साह्यं ते करोमि कुरुनन्दन ।
कामं योत्स्ये परस्यार्थे ब्रूहि यत्ते विवक्षितम् ॥३९॥
39. bhīṣma uvāca ,
rājankimatra sāhyaṁ te karomi kurunandana ,
kāmaṁ yotsye parasyārthe brūhi yatte vivakṣitam.

kāmaṃ yotsye parasya arthe brūhi yat te vivakṣitam
39. rājan kurunandana atra te kim sāhyaṃ karomi? kāmaṃ parasya arthe yotsye.

39. Bhishma said: "O King, O son of Kuru, what help can I offer you in this situation? I will indeed fight for the opposing side. Please tell me what you wish."
