महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-327, verse-6

ये च मुक्ता भवन्तीह पुण्यपापविवर्जिताः ।
ते सहस्रार्चिषं देवं प्रविशन्तीति शुश्रुमः ॥६॥
6. ye ca muktā bhavantīha puṇyapāpavivarjitāḥ ,
te sahasrārciṣaṁ devaṁ praviśantīti śuśrumaḥ.
6. ye ca muktāḥ bhavanti iha puṇyapāpavivarjitāḥ
te sahasrārcisam devam praviśanti iti śuśrumaḥ
6. ca ye iha puṇyapāpavivarjitāḥ muktāḥ bhavanti
te sahasrārcisam devam praviśanti iti śuśrumaḥ
6. And those who become liberated (mukta) here, free from both merit (puṇya) and demerit (pāpa), they enter the thousand-rayed sun god. This is what we have heard.
