महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-45, verse-65

महिषं चाष्टभिः पद्मैर्वृतं संख्ये निजघ्निवान् ।
त्रिपादं चायुतशतैर्जघान दशभिर्वृतम् ॥६५॥
65. mahiṣaṁ cāṣṭabhiḥ padmairvṛtaṁ saṁkhye nijaghnivān ,
tripādaṁ cāyutaśatairjaghāna daśabhirvṛtam.
65. mahiṣam ca aṣṭabhiḥ padmaiḥ vṛtam saṅkhye nijaghnivān
| tripādam ca āyutaśataiḥ jaghāna daśabhiḥ vṛtam
65. ca saṅkhye aṣṭabhiḥ padmaiḥ vṛtam mahiṣam nijaghnivān
ca daśabhiḥ āyutaśataiḥ vṛtam tripādam jaghāna
65. And in battle, he struck down Mahiṣa, who was surrounded by eight *padmas* (a huge numerical unit). He also struck down Tripāda, who was encompassed by ten *ayutaśatas* (hundreds of ten thousands).
