महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-33, verse-49

द्वाविमौ ग्रसते भूमिः सर्पो बिलशयानिव ।
राजानं चाविरोद्धारं ब्राह्मणं चाप्रवासिनम् ॥४९॥
49. dvāvimau grasate bhūmiḥ sarpo bilaśayāniva ,
rājānaṁ cāviroddhāraṁ brāhmaṇaṁ cāpravāsinam.
49. dvau imau grasate bhūmiḥ sarpaḥ bilaśayān iva
rājānam ca aviroddhāram brāhmaṇam ca apravāsinam
49. The earth swallows these two, just as a serpent devours those dwelling in holes: a king who does not resist, and a Brahmin who does not travel.
