चिच्चतुर्भुजरूपेण जघानासुरमण्डलम् ।
कालो जलदखण्डेन सायुधेन यथाऽऽतपम् ॥ ३७ ॥

37. Consciousness (cit), assuming the form of the four-armed Vishnu, annihilated the host of demons, just as time (kāla), with a weapon-like fragment of cloud, consumes the sun's heat.
