एषा हि परिमृष्टान्तरन्यासां प्रसवैकभूः ।
द्वितीयां भूमिकां यत्नात्तृतीयां प्राप्नुयात्ततः ॥ ४१ ॥

41. Indeed, this (first stage) is the unique foundation for the emergence of further stages for those whose inner dispositions are purified. Therefore, with effort, one should attain the second stage (bhūmikā) from it, and subsequently the third.
