महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-172, verse-54

अथापरं तपस्तप्त्वा द्विस्ततोऽन्यत्पुनर्महत् ।
द्यावापृथिव्योर्विवरं तेजसा समपूरयत् ॥५४॥

54. Then, having performed another austerity (tapas), again, twice as great as the previous one, he filled the gap between heaven and earth completely with his spiritual radiance.
