महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-172, verse-27

तत्सैन्यं भगवानग्निर्ददाह युधि भारत ।
युगान्ते सर्वभूतानि संवर्तक इवानलः ॥२७॥
27. tatsainyaṁ bhagavānagnirdadāha yudhi bhārata ,
yugānte sarvabhūtāni saṁvartaka ivānalaḥ.

yugānte sarvabhūtāni saṃvartakaḥ iva analaḥ
27. bhārata bhagavān agniḥ yudhi tat sainyam dadāha

27. O Bhārata, the venerable Agni (fire god) consumed that army in battle, just as the cosmic fire of dissolution (saṃvartaka) consumes all beings at the end of an eon (yuga).
