महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-27, verse-60

वाङ्मनःकर्मजैर्ग्रस्तः पापैरपि पुमानिह ।
वीक्ष्य गङ्गां भवेत्पूतस्तत्र मे नास्ति संशयः ॥६०॥
60. vāṅmanaḥkarmajairgrastaḥ pāpairapi pumāniha ,
vīkṣya gaṅgāṁ bhavetpūtastatra me nāsti saṁśayaḥ.
60. vākmanaskarmajaiḥ grastaḥ pāpaiḥ api pumān iha
vīkṣya gaṅgām bhavet pūtaḥ tatra me na asti saṃśayaḥ
60. iha vākmanaskarmajaiḥ pāpaiḥ api grastaḥ pumān gaṅgām vīkṣya pūtaḥ bhavet.
tatra me saṃśayaḥ na asti.
60. Even a man in this world, afflicted by sins born of speech, mind, and action, becomes purified simply by seeing the Gaṅgā. Regarding this, I have no doubt.
