न सा प्रीतिर्दिविष्ठस्य सर्वकामानुपाश्नतः ।
अभवद्या परा प्रीतिर्गङ्गायाः पुलिने नृणाम् ॥५९॥

59. na sā prītirdiviṣṭhasya sarvakāmānupāśnataḥ ,
abhavadyā parā prītirgaṅgāyāḥ puline nṛṇām.

59. na sā prītiḥ diviṣṭhasya sarvakāmānupāśnataḥ
abhavat yā parā prītiḥ gaṅgāyāḥ puline nṛṇām

59. nṛṇām gaṅgāyāḥ puline yā parā prītiḥ abhavat,
sā prītiḥ sarvakāmānupāśnataḥ diviṣṭhasya na abhavat

59. The supreme delight experienced by humans on the sandbanks of the Gaṅgā was not like the delight of one dwelling in heaven, even if that person were fulfilling all desires.
