1.
First, after completing the trine reduction (śodhana), one should establish the results of the signs (rāśi). Then, one should perform the reduction (śodhana) related to the single lord (ekādhipati) for each sign separately.
2. kṣetradvaye phalani syustadā saṃśodhayed yathā .

kṣīṇena saha ca anyasmin śudhayet grahavarjite
kṣīṇena saha ca anyasmin śudhayet grahavarjite
2.
If results are present in two houses, one should rectify them as follows: one should adjust (the results) in the house devoid of planets by taking into account the diminished (planetary influence) in the other (house).
3. ubhayorgrahasaṃyoge na saṃśodhyaḥ kadācan .

grahayukte phalairhīne grahābhāve phalādhike.
3.
ubhayoḥ grahasaṃyoge na saṃśodhyaḥ kadācan
grahayukte phalaiḥ hīne grahābhāve phalādhike
grahayukte phalaiḥ hīne grahābhāve phalādhike
3.
When there is a conjunction of planets in both (houses), rectification should never be performed. (Consider cases such as) a house with planets having deficient results, or a house devoid of planets having abundant results.
4. ūnena samamanyasmin śodhayed grahavarjite .
phalādhike grahairyukte cānyasmin sarvamutsṛjet.
phalādhike grahairyukte cānyasmin sarvamutsṛjet.
4.
ūnena samam anyasmin śodhayet grahavarjite
phalādhike grahaiḥ yukte ca anyasmin sarvam utsṛjet
phalādhike grahaiḥ yukte ca anyasmin sarvam utsṛjet
4.
In the other house that is devoid of planets, one should rectify (the results) considering them equally with the deficient (result or influence). If a house has abundant results and is conjoined with planets, and there is also another (house to consider), one should abandon all (rectification efforts).
5. ubhayatra grahabhāve samatve sakalaṃ tyajet .
sagrahāgrahayostulye sarvaṃ saṃśodhyamagrahe.
sagrahāgrahayostulye sarvaṃ saṃśodhyamagrahe.
5.
ubhayatra grahabhāve samatve sakalam tyajet
sagrahāgrahayoḥ tulye sarvam saṃśodhyam agrahe
sagrahāgrahayoḥ tulye sarvam saṃśodhyam agrahe
5.
In both (houses), if planets are present and their results are equal, one should abandon everything (rectification). When the house with planets and the house without planets have equal results, everything should be rectified in the house devoid of planets.
6. kulīrasiṃhayo rāśyoḥ pṛthak kṣetraṃ pṛthak phalam .
saṃśodhyaikādhipatyaṃ hi tataḥ piṇḍaṃ prasādhayet.

saṃśodhya ekādhipatyam hi tataḥ piṇḍam prasādhayet
saṃśodhya ekādhipatyam hi tataḥ piṇḍam prasādhayet
6.
For the two signs, Cancer and Leo, there is a distinct domain and a distinct outcome. After properly calculating their single rulership, one should then ascertain the aggregate (piṇḍa).
