सपापो देहपोऽष्टारिव्ययगो देहसौख्यहृत् ।

If the lord of the Ascendant (dehapati) is associated with malefic planets and located in the 8th, 6th, or 12th houses, it deprives one of bodily happiness. Conversely, if the lord of the Ascendant (aṅgeśa) is situated in an angular house (Kendra) or a trinal house (Kona), it always bestows bodily happiness.
लग्नपोऽस्तङ्गतो नीचे शत्रुभे रोगकृद् भवेत् ।
शुभः केन्द्रत्रिकोणस्था सर्वरोगहराः स्मृताः ॥२॥

If the lord of the ascendant is debilitated, fallen, or located in an enemy's sign, it will cause illness. However, (planets) situated in quadrant (kendra) or trine (trikoṇa) houses are considered removers of all diseases, and an auspicious planet (śubhaḥ) among them further enhances this effect.
लग्ने चन्द्रेऽथव क्रूरग्रहैर्दृष्टेऽथवा युते ।

If the Moon is in the ascendant and is aspected or conjoined by malefic planets, and is also devoid of benefic aspect, then indeed there is no bodily comfort or happiness for the native.

सौम्यखेटैर्युते दृष्टे लग्ने देहसुखान्वितः ॥४॥

If a benefic planet is in the ascendant, the native will be handsome. If a malefic planet is in the ascendant, the native will be devoid of good form. If the ascendant itself is conjoined or aspected by benefic planets, the native will be endowed with bodily comfort.
लग्नेशो ज्ञा गुरुर्वाऽपि शुक्रो वा केन्द्रकोणगः ।
दीर्घायुर्धनवान् जातो बुद्धिमान् राजवल्लभः ॥५॥

If the lord of the ascendant is Mercury, Jupiter, or Venus, and is situated in a quadrant (kendra) or trine (koṇa) house, the native born will be long-lived, wealthy, intelligent, and favored by rulers.
लग्नेशे चरराशिस्थे शुभग्रहनिरीक्षिते ।
कीर्तिश्रीमान् महाभोगी देहसौख्यसमन्वितः ॥६॥

If the lord of the ascendant is in a movable (cara) sign and aspected by benefic planets, the native will be famous, prosperous, enjoy great luxuries, and be endowed with bodily comfort.
बुधो जीवोऽथवा शुक्रो लग्ने चन्द्रसमन्वितः ।

If Mercury, Jupiter, or Venus is in the ascendant (lagna) along with the Moon, or if any of these planets are located in a Kendra house from the ascendant, then the person born possesses characteristics of a king.

If the ascendant (lagna) is Aries (Meṣa), Taurus (Vṛṣa), or Leo (Hari) and it contains Saturn or Mars, then the physical body resembles the characteristics of that sign and its subdivisions (aṃśa), and the person is born without the umbilical cord wrapped around them.
चतुष्पदगतो भानुः परे वीर्यसमन्विताः ।
द्विस्वभावगता जातौ यमलाविति निर्दिशेत् ॥९॥

If the Sun is located in a quadruped sign, and other planets are strong, and the ascendant (lagna) is a dual sign at the time of birth, then one should predict twins.
रवौन्दू एकभावस्थावेकंशकसमन्वितौ ।
त्रिमात्रा च थिभिर्मासैः पित्रा भ्रात्रा च पोषितः ॥१०॥

If the Sun and Moon are in the same house and associated with the same navamsha, then the child is nourished by the father and brother for three months.
एवमेव फलं वाच्यं चन्द्रादपि सदा बुधैः ।
अथ जातनरस्याङ्गे व्रणचिह्नादिकं ब्रुवे ॥११॥

In the same manner, the wise should always declare the results considering the Moon (Candrāt) as well. Now, I shall describe the marks, scars, and such on the body of the born person.
शिरो नेत्रे तथ कर्णौ नासिके च कपोलकौ ।
हनूर्मुखं च लग्नाद्या तनावाद्यदृकाणके ॥१२॥

The head, eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, jaw, and mouth are associated with the first decanate (dṛkāṇa) of the ascendant (lagna) or the first house.
मध्यद्रेष्काणगे लग्ने कण्ठोंऽसौ च भुजौ तथा ।
पार्श्वे च हृदये क्रोडे नाभिश्चेति यथाक्रमम् ॥१३॥

13. madhyadreṣkāṇage lagne kaṇṭhoṃ'sau ca bhujau tathā .

When the ascendant (lagna) falls in the middle decanate (dṛkāṇa), then the neck, shoulders, arms, sides, heart, chest, and navel are designated in due order.
वस्तिर्लिङ्गगुदे मुष्कावूरू जानू च जंघके ।
पादश्चेत्युदितैर्वाममङ्गं ज्ञेयं तृतीयके ॥१४॥

14. vastirliṅgagude muṣkāvūrū jānū ca jaṃghake .

14.
The bladder, genitals, anus, testicles, thighs, knees, shanks, and feet - these body parts are understood to be on the left side, as mentioned for the third decanate (dṛkāṇa).
यस्मिन्नङ्गे स्थितः पापो व्रणं तत्र समादिशेत् ।
नियतं सबुधैः क्रूरैः सौम्यैर्लक्ष्म वदेद् बुधः ॥१५॥

15. yasminnaṅge sthitaḥ pāpo vraṇaṃ tatra samādiśet .

yasmin aṅge sthitaḥ pāpaḥ vraṇaṃ tatra samādiśet

niyatam sabudhaiḥ krūraiḥ saumyaiḥ lakṣma vadet budhaḥ
15.
If a malefic planet (pāpa) is situated in a specific limb (aṅga), one should predict a wound there. But when (the limb is influenced by) both malefics (krūra) and benefics (saumya), including Mercury (budha), then the learned (astrologer) should certainly predict a mark (lakṣma).
