इत्यरिष्टं मया प्रोक्तं तद्भङ्गश्चापि कथ्यते ।
यत् समालोक्यं जातानां रिष्ताऽरिष्टं वदेद्बुधः ॥१॥

Thus, I have declared the indications of misfortune (ariṣṭa), and now its cancellation will also be explained. Having observed these points for those born, a wise astrologer should declare both auspicious and inauspicious outcomes.
एकोऽपि ज्ञार्यशुक्राणां लग्नात् केन्द्रगतो यदि ।
अरिष्टं निखिलं हन्ति तिमिरं भास्करो यथा ॥२॥

If even one of Mercury, Jupiter, or Venus is situated in an angular house (Kendra) from the ascendant, it completely destroys all misfortunes, just as the sun dispels darkness.
एक एव बली जीवो लग्नस्थो रिष्टसंचयम् ।
हन्ति पापक्षयं भक्त्या प्रणाम इव शूलिनः ॥३॥

A single, powerful Jupiter (jīva) situated in the ascendant destroys the entire accumulation of misfortunes and the dissipation of evils, just as a salutation (praṇāma) offered with devotion (bhakti) to Śiva (Śūlin) removes sins.
एक एव विलग्नेशः केन्द्रसंस्थो बलान्वितः ।
अरिष्टं निखिलं हन्ति पिनाकी त्रिपुरं यथा ॥४॥
अरिष्टं निखिलं हन्ति पिनाकी त्रिपुरं यथा ॥४॥

A single, powerful lord of the ascendant, if situated in an angular house (Kendra), destroys all misfortunes, just as Pinākin (Śiva) destroyed the three cities (Tripura).
शुक्लपक्षे क्षपाजन्म लग्ने सौम्यनिरीक्षिते ।
विपरीतं कृष्णपक्षे तथारिष्टविनाशनं ॥५॥

If there is a night birth in the bright fortnight, with the ascendant aspected by benefics, it causes the destruction of misfortune. Similarly, the opposite condition in the dark fortnight (i.e., a day birth in the dark fortnight, with the ascendant aspected by benefics) also leads to the destruction of misfortune.
व्ययस्थाने यदा सूर्यस्तुलालग्ने तु जायते ।
जीवेत् स शतवर्षाणि दीर्घायुर्बालको भवेत् ॥६॥

When the Sun is in the twelfth house (vyayasthāna) and it is the Libra ascendant, the child lives for a hundred years and becomes long-lived.
गुरुभौमौ यदा युक्तौ गुरुदृऋटोऽथवा कुजः ।
हत्वाऽरिष्टमशेषं च जनन्याः शुभक्रद्भवेत् ॥७॥

7. gurubhaumau yadā yuktau gurudṛṛṭo'thavā kujaḥ .

When Jupiter and Mars are conjoined, or when Mars is aspected by Jupiter, then, having destroyed all misfortune, it brings good fortune to the mother.
चतुर्थदशमे पापः सौम्यमध्ये यदा भवेत् ।
पितुः सौख्यकरो योगः शुभैः केन्द्रत्रिकोणगैः ॥८॥

When a malefic planet is situated in the fourth and tenth houses, (and is) hemmed between benefics, this planetary combination (yoga) brings happiness to the father, especially when benefics are in angular (kendra) and trinal (trikoṇa) houses.
सौम्यान्तरगतैः पापैः शुभैः केन्द्रत्रिकोणगैः ।
सद्यो नाशयतेऽरिष्टं तद्भावोत्थफलं न तत् ॥९॥

9. saumyāntaragataiḥ pāpaiḥ śubhaiḥ kendratrikoṇagaiḥ .

When malefics are hemmed between benefics, and benefics are situated in angular (kendra) and trinal (trikoṇa) houses, then misfortune is immediately destroyed, and the adverse results produced by that house (bhāva) do not manifest.
