सहस्ररश्मितचन्द्रे कण्टकादिगते क्रमात् ।
धनधीनैपुणादीनि न्यूनमध्योत्तमानि हि ॥१॥

When the Sun and Moon are situated in the cardinal (kendra) houses, the succeeding (paṇaphara) houses, or the cadent (āpoklima) houses, respectively, then the native's wealth, intelligence, and skill, among other qualities, will be high, medium, or low accordingly.
स्वांशे वा स्वाधिमित्रांशे स्थितश्च दिवसे शशी ।
गुरुणा दृश्यते तत्र जातो धनसुखान्वितः ॥२॥

If the Moon is situated in its own navamsha (divisional chart) or in the navamsha of its great friend during the daytime, and is aspected by Jupiter, then the native born will be endowed with wealth and happiness.
स्वांशे वा स्वाधिमित्रांशे स्थितश्च शशभृन्निशि ।
शुक्रेण दृश्यते तत्र जातो धनसुखान्वितः ॥३॥

If the Moon is situated in its own navamsha or in the navamsha of its great friend during the night, and is aspected by Venus, then the native born will be endowed with wealth and happiness.
एतद्विपर्ययस्थे च शुक्रेज्यानवलोकिते ।
जायतेऽल्पधनो बालो योगेऽस्मिन्निर्धनोऽथवा ॥४॥

If, conversely, the Moon is not aspected by Venus and Jupiter, the native born in this (astrological) combination (yoga) will have little wealth or be completely poor.
चन्द्राद्रन्ध्रारिकामस्थै सौम्यैः स्याधियोगकः ।
तत्र राजा च मन्त्री च सेनाधीशश्च बलक्रमात् ॥५॥

If benefics are situated in the 6th, 7th, and 8th houses from the Moon, an Adhiyoga (auspicious planetary combination) is formed. In such a case, the native becomes a king, a minister, or an army chief, according to the relative strength (of the planets/combination).
चन्द्राद् वृद्धिगतैः सर्वैः शुभैर्जातो महाधनी ।
द्वाभ्यां मध्यधनो जात एकेनाऽल्पधनो भवेत् ॥६॥

6. candrād vṛddhigataiḥ sarvaiḥ śubhairjāto mahādhanī .

If all benefics are situated in houses of increase (upacaya houses like 3, 6, 10, 11) from the Moon, the native becomes extremely wealthy. If this condition is met by two (benefics), the native is moderately wealthy. If by only one (benefic), they will have little wealth.
चन्द्रात् स्वान्त्योभयस्थे हि ग्रहे सूर्यं बिना क्रमात् ।
सुनफाख्तोऽनफाख्यश्च योगो दुरधराह्वयः ॥७॥

Indeed, when a planet, excluding the Sun, is situated in the second house from the Moon, or in the twelfth house, or in both, these combinations are known respectively as Sunapha, Anapha, and Duradhara (yoga).
राजा वा राजतुल्यो वा धीधनख्यातिमाञ्जनः ।
स्वभुजार्जितवित्तश्च सुनफायोगसम्भवः ॥८॥

8. rājā vā rājatulyo vā dhīdhanakhyātimāñjanaḥ .

A person born with Sunapha (yoga) becomes a king, or equal to a king, or one endowed with intelligence, wealth, and fame, and who has acquired riches by his own effort.
भूपोऽगदशरीरश्च शीलवान् ख्यातकीर्तिमान् ।
सुरूपश्चाऽनफाजातो सुखैः सर्वैः समन्वितः ॥९॥

9. bhūpo'gadaśarīraśca śīlavān khyātakīrtimān .

9.
A person born with Anapha (yoga) becomes a ruler, possesses a healthy body, is virtuous, widely renowned, handsome, and endowed with all comforts.
उत्पन्नसुखभुग् दाता धनवाहनसंयुतः ।
सद्भृत्यो जायते नूनं जनो दुरधराभवः ॥१०॥

10. utpannasukhabhug dātā dhanavāhanasaṃyutaḥ .
sadbhṛtyo jāyate nūnaṃ jano duradharābhavaḥ.

A person born with Duradhara (yoga) certainly becomes one who enjoys acquired happiness, is generous, possesses wealth and vehicles, and has good servants.
चन्द्रादाद्यधनाऽन्त्यस्थो विना भानुं न चेद्ग्रहः ।
कश्चित् स्याद्वा विना चन्द्रं लग्नात् केन्द्रगतोऽथ वा ॥११॥
कश्चित् स्याद्वा विना चन्द्रं लग्नात् केन्द्रगतोऽथ वा ॥११॥
11. candrādādyadhanā'ntyastho vinā bhānuṃ na cedgrahaḥ .
kaścit syādvā vinā candraṃ lagnāt kendragato'tha vā.

candrāt ādyadhanaantyasthaḥ vinā bhānum na cet grahaḥ
kaścit syāt vā vinā candram lagnāt kendragataḥ atha vā

If no planet, excluding the Sun, is situated in the second (house of wealth) and twelfth house from the Moon; or if any planet, excluding the Moon, is in an angular house (kendra) from the Ascendant...
योगः केमद्रुमो नाम तत्र जातोऽतिगर्हितः ।
बुद्धिविद्याविहीनश्च दरिद्रापत्तिसंयुतः ॥१२॥

12. yogaḥ kemadrumo nāma tatra jāto'tigarhitaḥ .

The astrological combination (yoga) known as Kemadruma is considered very reprehensible. A person born under this specific planetary arrangement (yoga) will be devoid of intelligence and knowledge, and afflicted by poverty and/or misfortune.
अन्ययोगफलं हन्ति चन्द्रयोगो विशेषतः ।
स्वफलं प्रददातीति बुधो यत्नाद् विचिन्तयेत् ॥१३॥

13. anyayogaphalaṃ hanti candrayogo viśeṣataḥ .

The Moon's (yoga), especially the Kemadruma (yoga), nullifies the results of other (favorable astrological) combinations (yoga). Therefore, a wise person should carefully analyze, understanding that this particular combination yields its own distinct results.
