स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे चन्द्रे त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ।
भाग्यकर्माधिपैर्युक्ते गजाश्वाम्बरसंकुलम् ॥१॥
1. svocce svakṣetrage candre trikoṇe lābhage'pi vā .

1. When the Moon is in its exaltation sign, or in its own sign (svakṣetra), or in a trine (trikoṇa), or even in the house of gain (lābha-bhāva), and is associated with the lords of the fortune (bhāgya) and action (karma) houses, there will be an abundance of elephants, horses, and fine garments.
देवतागुरुभक्तिश्च पुण्यश्लोकादिकीर्तनम् ।
राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं यशोवृद्धिः सुखावहा ॥२॥
2. devatāgurubhaktiśca puṇyaślokādikīrtanam .
rājyalābho mahatsaukhyaṃ yaśovṛddhiḥ sukhāvahā.
2. devatāgurubhaktiḥ ca puṇyaślokādikīrtanam

2. Also, there will be devotion (bhakti) towards deities and preceptors (gurus), along with the chanting of auspicious verses and similar sacred texts. This leads to the acquisition of a kingdom, great happiness, increased renown, and brings about well-being.
पूर्णे चन्द्रे बलं पूर्णं सेनापत्यं महत्सुखम् ।
पापयुक्तेऽथवा चन्द्रे नीचे वा रिष्फषष्ठगे ॥३॥
3. pūrṇe candre balaṃ pūrṇaṃ senāpatyaṃ mahatsukham .
pāpayukte'thavā candre nīce vā riṣphaṣaṣṭhage.

3. When the Moon is full (pūrṇa candra), there is complete strength, the command of an army (senāpatya), and great happiness. However, if the Moon is afflicted by malefic planets (pāpa-yukta), or in its debilitation sign (nīca), or situated in the twelfth (riṣpha) or sixth (ṣaṣṭha) houses...
अतकाले धननाशः स्यात्स्थानच्युतिरथापि वा ।
देहलस्यं मनस्तपो राजमन्त्रिविरोधकृत् ॥४॥
4. atakāle dhananāśaḥ syātsthānacyutirathāpi vā .
dehalasyaṃ manastapo rājamantrivirodhakṛt.
4. ata kāle dhana nāśaḥ syāt sthāna cyutiḥ atha api
vā deha lasyam manas tapaḥ rāja mantri virodhakṛt
4. During that period, there will be a loss of wealth or even a demotion from one's position. Physical inertia and mental distress will occur, leading to conflicts with the king or his minister.
मातृक्लेशो मनोदुःखं निगडं बन्धुनाशनम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु रन्ध्ररिष्फेशसंयुते ॥५॥
5. mātṛkleśo manoduḥkhaṃ nigaḍaṃ bandhunāśanam .
dvitīyadyūnanāthe tu randhrariṣpheśasaṃyute.
5. mātṛ kleśaḥ manas duḥkham nigaḍam bandhu nāśanam
dvitīya dyūna nāthe tu randhra riṣpha īśa saṃyute
5. There will be distress to the mother, mental sorrow, imprisonment, and the loss of relatives. This occurs when the lord of the second and seventh houses is conjoined with the lord of the eighth and twelfth houses.
देहजाड्यं महाभङ्गमपमृत्योभयं वदेत् ।
श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यात् स्वदशान्तर्गते विधौ ॥६॥
6. dehajāḍyaṃ mahābhaṅgamapamṛtyobhayaṃ vadet .
śvetāṃ gāṃ mahiṣīṃ dadyāt svadaśāntargate vidhau.
6. deha jāḍyam mahā bhaṅgam apamṛtyu bhayam vadet
śvetām gām mahiṣīm dadyāt sva daśā antargate vidhau
6. One should predict physical lethargy, significant obstacles, and the fear of untimely death. During the Moon's sub-period within its own major period, one should donate a white cow or a buffalo.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते भौमे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
सौभाग्यं राजसन्मानं वस्त्रभरणभूषणम् ॥७॥
7. candrasyāntargate bhaume lagnātkendratrikoṇage .
saubhāgyaṃ rājasanmānaṃ vastrabharaṇabhūṣaṇam.

7. When Mars is situated in a quadrant or trine from the ascendant, during the sub-period of the Moon, there will be good fortune, respect from the king, and acquisitions of clothes, jewelry, and ornaments.
यत्नात् कार्यार्थसिद्धिस्तु भविष्यति न संशयः ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च व्यवहारे जयो भवेत् ॥८॥
8. yatnāt kāryārthasiddhistu bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ .
gṛhakṣetrābhivṛddhiśca vyavahāre jayo bhavet.
8. yatnāt kārya artha siddhiḥ tu bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ
gṛha kṣetra abhivṛddhiḥ ca vyavahāre jayaḥ bhavet
8. Through diligent effort, the accomplishment of one's objectives will certainly occur; there is no doubt about it. There will also be an increase in one's house and land, and victory will be attained in all endeavors.
कार्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे फलम् ।
तथाऽष्टमव्यये भौमे पापयुक्तेऽथ वा यदि ॥९॥
9. kāryalābho mahatsaukhyaṃ svocce svakṣetrage phalam .
tathā'ṣṭamavyaye bhaume pāpayukte'tha vā yadi.

9. When Mars (bhauma) is in its own exaltation sign (svocca) or its own sign (svakṣetra), the outcome (phalam) brings the accomplishment of objectives (kāryalābha) and great happiness (mahat saukhya). However, if Mars is in the eighth or twelfth house and conjoined with a malefic planet, then...
दायशादशुभस्थाने देहार्तिः परवीक्षिते ।
गृहक्षेत्रादिहानिश्च व्यवहारे तथा क्षतिः ॥१०॥
10. dāyaśādaśubhasthāne dehārtiḥ paravīkṣite .
gṛhakṣetrādihāniśca vyavahāre tathā kṣatiḥ.
10. dāyaśāt aśubhasthāne dehārtiḥ paravīkṣite |
gṛhakṣetrādihāniḥ ca vyavahāre tathā kṣatiḥ
10. During a planetary period (daśā), if (a planet is) in an inauspicious house and aspected by malefic planets (paravīkṣite), there will be bodily affliction (dehārti), loss of home, land, and so forth (gṛhakṣetrādihāni), as well as damage (kṣati) in one's affairs (vyavahāra).
मृत्युवर्गेषु कलहो भूपालस्य विरोधनम् ।
आत्मबन्धुवियोगश्च नित्यं निष्ठुरभाषणम् ॥११॥
11. mṛtyuvargeṣu kalaho bhūpālasya virodhanam .
ātmabandhuviyogaśca nityaṃ niṣṭhurabhāṣaṇam.
11. mṛtyuvargeṣu kalahaḥ bhūpālasya virodhanam |
ātmabandhuviyogaḥ ca nityam niṣṭhurabhāṣaṇam
11. If (a planet is positioned) in the "mṛtyu vargas" (divisions indicating death), there will be quarrels (kalaha), opposition from the ruler (bhūpālasya virodhanam), separation from one's own relatives (ātmabandhuviyoga), and constant harsh speech (nityaṃ niṣṭhurabhāṣaṇam).
द्वितीये द्यूननाथे तु रन्ध्रे रन्ध्राधिपो यदा ।
तत्तोषपरिहारार्थं ब्राह्मणस्याऽर्चनं चरेत् ॥१२॥
12. dvitīye dyūnanāthe tu randhre randhrādhipo yadā .
tattoṣaparihārārthaṃ brāhmaṇasyā'rcanaṃ caret.
12. dvitīye dyūnanāthe tu randhre randhrādhipaḥ yadā
| tattoṣaparihārārtham brāhmaṇasya arcanam caret
12. When the lord of the seventh house (dyūnanātha) is in the second house (dvitīya), and the lord of the eighth house (randhrādhipa) is in the eighth house (randhra), then, in order to alleviate that distress and ensure propitiation (tattoṣaparihārārtham), one should perform worship (arcana) of a Brahmin.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते राहौ लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
आदौ स्वल्फलं ज्ञेयं शत्रुपीडा महद्भयम् ॥१३॥
13. candrasyāntargate rāhau lagnātkendratrikoṇage .
ādau svalphalaṃ jñeyaṃ śatrupīḍā mahadbhayam.
13. candrasya antargate rāhau lagnāt kendratrikoṇage |
ādau svalpam phalam jñeyam śatrupīḍā mahat bhayam
13. When Rahu (rāhu) is in the sub-period (antargata) of the Moon (candra), and if (Rahu is) situated in a Kendra (angular) or Trikona (trinal) house from the ascendant (lagna), then initially only meager results (svalpa phalam) are to be expected, followed by affliction from enemies (śatrupīḍā) and great fear (mahat bhayam).
चौराहिराजभीतिश्च चतुष्पाज्जिवपीडनम् ।
बन्धुनाशो मित्रहानिर्मानहानिर्मनोव्यथा ॥१४॥
14. caurāhirājabhītiśca catuṣpājjivapīḍanam .
bandhunāśo mitrahānirmānahānirmanovyathā.
14. caurāhi-rāja-bhītiḥ ca catuṣpāj-jīva-pīḍanam
bandhu-nāśaḥ mitra-hāniḥ māna-hāniḥ manovyathā
14. There will be fear stemming from thieves, snakes, and rulers, along with affliction from four-footed creatures, loss of relatives, loss of friends, loss of honor, and mental distress.
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे लग्नादुपचयेऽपि वा ।
योगकारकसम्बन्धे सर्वकार्यार्थसिद्धिकृत् ॥१५॥
15. śubhayukte śubhairdṛṣṭe lagnādupacaye'pi vā .
yogakārakasambandhe sarvakāryārthasiddhikṛt.
15. śubhayukte śubhaiḥ dṛṣṭe lagnāt upacaye api vā
yogakārakasambandhe sarvakāryārthasiddhikṛt
15. When a house or planet is conjoined with auspicious planets, or aspected by auspicious planets, or even if it is in an Upachaya house from the Lagna (ascendant), or connected with a Yoga-karaka planet, it ensures the fulfillment of all endeavors.
नैरृत्ये पश्चिमे भावे क्वचित्प्रभुसमागमः ।
वाहनामबरलाभश्च स्वेष्टकार्यार्थसिद्धिकृत् ॥१६॥
16. nairṛtye paścime bhāve kvacitprabhusamāgamaḥ .
vāhanāmabaralābhaśca sveṣṭakāryārthasiddhikṛt.
16. nairṛtye paścime bhāve kvacit prabhu-samāgamaḥ
vāhanāmbara-lābhaḥ ca sveṣṭakāryārthasiddhikṛt
16. Sometimes, regarding the southwest or western direction (or house), there occurs a meeting with rulers and a gain of vehicles and clothes, which brings about the fulfillment of one's desired objectives.
दायेशादथ रन्ध्रथे व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ।
स्थानभ्रंशो मनोदुखं पुत्रक्लेशो महद्भयम् ॥१७॥
17. dāyeśādatha randhrathe vyaye vā balavarjite .
sthānabhraṃśo manodukhaṃ putrakleśo mahadbhayam.
17. dāyeśāt atha randhrathe vyaye vā balavarjite
sthānabhraṃśaḥ manoduḥkham putrakleśaḥ mahadbhayam
17. When the Dasha lord is then (placed) in the 8th house (randhra) or the 12th house (vyaya) and is devoid of strength, there will be a loss of position, mental sorrow, affliction for children, and great fear.
दारपीडा क्वचिज्ज्ञेया क्वचित्स्वाङ्गे रुजोभयम् ।
वृश्चिकादिविषाद्भीतिश्चौराहिनृपपीडनम् ॥१८॥
18. dārapīḍā kvacijjñeyā kvacitsvāṅge rujobhayam .
vṛścikādiviṣādbhītiścaurāhinṛpapīḍanam.
18. dārapīḍā kvacit jñeyā kvacit svāṅge rujobhayam
vṛścikādiviṣādbhītiḥ caurāhinṛpapīḍanam
18. Sometimes affliction to the wife is to be understood, and at other times, fear of disease in one's own body. There is also fear from the poison of scorpions and similar creatures, along with harassment from thieves, snakes, and rulers.
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे व दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ।
पुण्यतीर्थफलावाप्तिर्देवतादर्शनं महत् ॥१९॥
19. dāyeśātkendrakoṇe va duścikye lābhage'pi vā .
puṇyatīrthaphalāvāptirdevatādarśanaṃ mahat.
19. dāyeśāt kendrakoṇe vā duścikye lābhage api vā
| puṇyatīrthaphalāvāptiḥ devatādarśanam mahat
19. When the lord of the Daśā is located in an angular (kendra) or trinal (koṇa) house, or even in the third or eleventh house, one attains the benefits of visiting sacred places (puṇyatīrtha) and experiences significant visions of deities.
परोपकारकर्मादिपुण्यकर्मादिसम्प्रहः ।
द्वितीयद्यूनराशिअथे देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥२०॥
20. paropakārakarmādipuṇyakarmādisamprahaḥ .
dvitīyadyūnarāśiathe dehabādhā bhaviṣyati.
20. paropakārakarmādipuṇyakarmādisamprahaḥ |
dvitīyadyūnarāśiathe dehabādhā bhaviṣyati
20. There will be a hindrance to meritorious deeds, such as helping others. If [affliction is indicated] in the context of the second or seventh house, then bodily affliction (dehābādhā) will occur.
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं रुद्रजाप्यं समाचरेत् ।
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत देहारोग्यं प्रजायते ॥२१॥
21. taddoṣaparihārārthaṃ rudrajāpyaṃ samācaret .
chāgadānaṃ prakurvīta dehārogyaṃ prajāyate.
21. tatdoṣaparihārārtham rudrajāpyam samācaret
| chāgadānam prakurvīta dehārogyam prajāyate
21. To mitigate that defect, one should perform the chanting (jāpya) of Rudra mantras. One should also offer a goat as a gift (dāna), and then bodily health will be attained.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते जीवे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वगेहे लाभगे स्वोच्चे राज्यलाभो महोत्सवः ॥२२॥
22. candrasyāntargate jīve lagnātkendratrikoṇage .
svagehe lābhage svocce rājyalābho mahotsavaḥ.
22. candrasya antargate jīve lagnāt kendratrikoṇage
| svagehe lābhage svocce rājyalābhaḥ mahotsavaḥ
22. When Jupiter (jīva) is in the sub-period (antargata) of the Moon (candra), and is situated in an angular (kendra) or trinal (trikoṇa) house from the Ascendant (lagna), or in its own sign (svageha), or in the eleventh house (lābhaga), or in its sign of exaltation (svocca), then there will be attainment of high status (rājyalābha) and great celebration.
वस्त्राऽलङ्कारभूषाप्ती राजप्रीतिर्धनागमः ।
इष्टदेवप्रसादेन गर्भाधानादिकं फलम् ॥२३॥
23. vastrā'laṅkārabhūṣāptī rājaprītirdhanāgamaḥ .
iṣṭadevaprasādena garbhādhānādikaṃ phalam.
23. vastrālaṅkārabhūṣāptī rājaprītiḥ dhanāgamaḥ
| iṣṭadevaprasādena garbhādhānādikam phalam
23. There will be acquisition of clothes, ornaments, and decorations, along with royal favor and an influx of wealth. Through the grace (prasāda) of one's chosen deity (iṣṭadeva), auspicious outcomes such as conception (garbhādhāna) will be attained.
तथा शोभनकार्याणि गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ।
राजाश्रयं धनं भूमिगजवाजिसमन्वितम् ॥२४॥
24. tathā śobhanakāryāṇi gṛhe lakṣmīḥ kaṭākṣakṛt .
rājāśrayaṃ dhanaṃ bhūmigajavājisamanvitam.
24. tathā śobhanakāryāṇi gṛhe lakṣmīḥ kaṭākṣakṛt
rājāśrayam dhanam bhūmigajavājisamanvitam
24. Similarly, there will be auspicious activities in the home; prosperity (lakṣmī) will cast her grace, bestowing royal patronage, wealth, land, elephants, and horses.
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ।

25. mahārājaprasādena sveṣṭasiddhiḥ sukhāvahā .

25. Through the grace of a great king, one achieves the fulfillment of one's desires, bringing great happiness. However, if Jupiter (guru) is in the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house, or is debilitated, or combust...
पापयुक्तेऽशुभं कर्म गुरुपुत्रादिनाशनम् ।
स्थानभ्रंशो मनोदुःखमकस्मात्कलहो ध्रुवम् ॥२६॥
26. pāpayukte'śubhaṃ karma guruputrādināśanam .
sthānabhraṃśo manoduḥkhamakasmātkalaho dhruvam.
26. pāpayukte aśubham karma guruputrādināśanam
sthānabhraṃśaḥ manaḥduḥkham akasmāt kalahaḥ dhruvam
26. If Jupiter is associated with malefic planets, there will be inauspicious actions and the destruction of gurus, sons, and others. Loss of position, mental distress, and sudden quarrels are certain.
गृहक्षेत्रादिनाशश्च वाहनाम्बरनाशनम् ।
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ॥२७॥
27. gṛhakṣetrādināśaśca vāhanāmbaranāśanam .
dāyeśātkendrakoṇe vā duścikye lābhage'pi vā.
27. gṛhakṣetrādināśaḥ ca vāhana ambara nāśanam
dāyeśāt kendra koṇe vā duścikye lābhage api vā
27. There is also destruction of homes, fields, etc., as well as vehicles and clothing. However, if the lord of the planetary period (daśā) is situated in an angular (kendra) or trinal (kona) house, or in the third house (duścikhya), or even in the house of gain (labha, 11th house)...
भोजनाम्बरपरवादि=लाभं सौख्यं करोति च ।
ब्र्हात्रादिसुखसम्पत्तिं धैर्यं वीर्यपराक्रमम् ॥२८॥
28. bhojanāmbaraparavādi=lābhaṃ saukhyaṃ karoti ca .
brhātrādisukhasampattiṃ dhairyaṃ vīryaparākramam.
28. bhojanāmbaraparavādilābham saukhyam karoti ca
bhrātrādisukhasampattim dhairyam vīryaparākramam
28. It (the Dasha lord) brings gain of food, clothing, and victory over adversaries. It also produces happiness, wealth, and comfort through brothers, along with courage, strength, and valor.
यज्ञव्रतविवाहादिराज्यश्रीधनसम्पदः ।
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ॥२९॥
29. yajñavratavivāhādirājyaśrīdhanasampadaḥ .
dāyeśādripurandhrasthe vyaye vā balavarjite.

dāyeśādripurandhrasthe vyaye vā balavarjite
29. When the lord of the 12th house (dāyeśa) is situated in the 7th (adri), 4th (pura), or 8th (randhra) house, or is in the 12th house (vyaya) and is devoid of strength, [it leads to a decline in] Vedic rituals (yajña), vows, marriages, and so on, as well as royal splendor, wealth, and prosperity.
करोति कुत्सिनान्नं च विदेशगमनं तथा ।
भुक्त्यादौ शोभनं प्रोक्तमन्ते क्लेशकरं भवेत् ॥३०॥
30. karoti kutsinānnaṃ ca videśagamanaṃ tathā .
bhuktyādau śobhanaṃ proktamante kleśakaraṃ bhavet.
30. karoti kutsitam annam ca videśagamanam tathā
bhuktyādau śobhanam proktam ante kleśakaram bhavet
30. When these conditions exist, it causes bad food and also foreign travel. It is declared to be good in the beginning of the planetary sub-period (bhukti), but becomes troublesome at the end.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे च ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् ।
स्वर्णदानमिति प्रोक्तं सर्वकष्टनिवारकम् ॥३१॥
31. dvitīyadyūnanāthe ca hyapamṛtyurbhaviṣyati .
taddoṣaparihārārthaṃ śivasāhasrakaṃ japet .
svarṇadānamiti proktaṃ sarvakaṣṭanivārakam.
31. dvitīyadyūnanāthe ca hi apamṛtyuḥ
bhaviṣyati tatdoṣaparihārārtham
śivasāhasrakam japet svarṇadānam
iti proktam sarvakaṣṭanivārakam
31. And when the lord of the 2nd and 7th houses (dyūna) is involved, there will be untimely death. For the removal of that defect, one should chant the thousand names of Shiva. Gold donation (dāna) is thus declared as a remover of all troubles.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वक्षेत्रे स्वांशगे चैव मन्दे तुङ्गांशसंयुते ॥३२॥
32. candrasyāntargate mande lagnātkendratrikoṇage .

32. When Saturn (manda) is in the sub-period of the Moon, and Saturn is situated in a quadrant or trine from the Ascendant, and also in its own sign or own navamsha, or Saturn is associated with an exalted navamsha...
शुभदृष्टयुते वाऽपि लाभे वा बलसंयुते ।
पुत्रमित्रार्थसम्पत्तिः शूद्रप्रभुसमागमात् ॥३३॥
33. śubhadṛṣṭayute vā'pi lābhe vā balasaṃyute .
putramitrārthasampattiḥ śūdraprabhusamāgamāt.
33. śubhadṛṣṭiyute vā api lābhe vā balasaṃyute
putramitrārthasampattiḥ śūdraprabhusamāgamāt
33. ...or is aspected by benefic planets, or is in the 11th house (lābha) endowed with strength, then there will be acquisition of sons, friends, wealth, and prosperity, through association with Shudra (śūdra) lords or masters.
व्ययसायात्फलाधिक्यं गृहे क्षेत्रादिवृद्धिदम् ।
पुत्रलाभश्च कल्याणं राजानुग्रहवैभवम् ॥३४॥
34. vyayasāyātphalādhikyaṃ gṛhe kṣetrādivṛddhidam .
putralābhaśca kalyāṇaṃ rājānugrahavaibhavam.
34. vyayasāyāt phalādhikyam gṛhe kṣetrādi-vṛddhidam
putralābhaḥ ca kalyāṇam rājānugraha-vaibhavam
34. Through business endeavors, there will be an abundance of results. It grants growth in one's home and lands, the acquisition of sons, general welfare, and prosperity due to royal favor.
षष्ठाष्टमव्यये मन्दे नीचे वा धनगेऽपि वा ।
तद्भुक्त्यादौ पुण्यतीर्थे स्नानं चैव तु दर्शनम् ॥३५॥
35. ṣaṣṭhāṣṭamavyaye mande nīce vā dhanage'pi vā .
tadbhuktyādau puṇyatīrthe snānaṃ caiva tu darśanam.
35. ṣaṣṭhāṣṭamavyaye mande nīce vā dhanage api vā
tat-bhuktyādau puṇyatīrthe snānam ca eva tu darśanam
35. If Saturn is in the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house, or is debilitated, or even positioned in the house of wealth (second house), then at the beginning of its planetary period (bhukti), one should bathe in sacred bathing places (tīrtha) and also perform sacred viewing (darśana).
अनेकजनत्रासश्च शस्त्रपीडा भविष्यति ।
दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे त्रिकोणे बलगेऽपि वा ॥३६॥
36. anekajanatrāsaśca śastrapīḍā bhaviṣyati .
dāyeśātkendrarāśisthe trikoṇe balage'pi vā.
36. aneka-jana-trāsaḥ ca śastra-pīḍā bhaviṣyati
dāyeśāt kendrarāśi-sthe trikoṇe balage api vā
36. There will be fear from many people and affliction from weapons. These may arise from the lord of the planetary period (dāyeśa), even when it is situated in an angular house (kendra), a trine house, or is strong.
क्वचित्सौख्यं धनाप्तिश्च दारपुत्रविरोधकृत् ।
द्वितीयद्यूनरन्ध्रस्थे देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥३७॥
37. kvacitsaukhyaṃ dhanāptiśca dāraputravirodhakṛt .
dvitīyadyūnarandhrasthe dehabādhā bhaviṣyati.
37. kvacit saukhyam dhana-āptiḥ ca dāraputra-virodha-kṛt
dvitīya-dyūna-randhra-sthe deha-bādhā bhaviṣyati
37. Sometimes there will be happiness and acquisition of wealth, but it will cause conflict with one's spouse and children. If it (the dasha lord) is situated in the second, seventh (dyūna), or eighth (randhra) house, physical affliction will occur.
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्याद्दानेमारोग्यमादिशेत् ॥३८॥
38. taddoṣaparihārārthaṃ mṛtyuñjayajapaṃ caret .
kṛṣṇāṃ gāṃ mahiṣīṃ dadyāddānemārogyamādiśet.
38. tat-doṣa-parihāra-artham mṛtyuñjaya-japam caret
kṛṣṇām gām mahiṣīm dadyāt dāne ārogyam ādiśet
38. For the removal of those faults, one should perform the chanting (japa) of the Mṛtyuñjaya (mantra). One should give a black cow or a she-buffalo as a donation (dāna); through this donation, health is granted.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वर्क्षे निजांशके सौम्ये तुङ्गे वा बलसंयुते ॥३९॥
39. candrasyāntargate saumye kendralābhatrikoṇage .
svarkṣe nijāṃśake saumye tuṅge vā balasaṃyute.
39. candrasya antargate saumye kendra lābha trikoṇage
svarṣe nijāṃśake saumye tuṅge vā bala saṃyute
39. When a benefic planet is situated within the Moon's sub-period (antardasha), and that benefic is located in a quadrant (kendra), house of gain (labha), or trine (trikoṇa) house, or is in its own sign, own varga, or exalted, or is endowed with strength, then the following good effects occur.
धनागमो राजमानप्रियवस्त्रादिलाभकृत् ।
विद्याविनोदसद्गोष्ठी ज्ञानवृद्धिः सुखावहा ॥४०॥
40. dhanāgamo rājamānapriyavastrādilābhakṛt .
vidyāvinodasadgoṣṭhī jñānavṛddhiḥ sukhāvahā.
40. dhana āgamaḥ rāja māna priya vastra ādi lābha kṛt
vidyā vinoda sad goṣṭhī jñāna vṛddhiḥ sukha āvahā
40. There will be an acquisition of wealth, royal favor, and gains of beloved clothes and other desirable things. It brings joy from learning, good company, an increase of knowledge, and happiness.
सन्तानप्राप्तिः सन्तोषो वाणिज्याद्धनलाभ्कृत् ।
वाहनच्छत्रसंयुक्तनानालङ्कारलाभकृत् ॥४१॥
41. santānaprāptiḥ santoṣo vāṇijyāddhanalābhkṛt .
vāhanacchatrasaṃyuktanānālaṅkāralābhakṛt.
41. santāna prāptiḥ santoṣaḥ vāṇijyāt dhana lābha kṛt
vāhana chatra saṃyukta nānā alaṅkāra lābha kṛt
41. There will be the acquisition of progeny, contentment, and gains of wealth through business. One will also gain vehicles, umbrellas, and various ornaments.
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा ।
विवाहो यज्ञदीक्षा च दानधर्मशुभादिकम् ॥४२॥
42. dāyeśātkendrakoṇe vā lābhe vā dhanage'pi vā .
vivāho yajñadīkṣā ca dānadharmaśubhādikam.
42. dāya īśāt kendra koṇe vā lābhe vā dhana ge api vā
vivāhaḥ yajña dīkṣā ca dāna dharma śubha ādikam
42. Furthermore, when the lord of the planetary period (dāyeśa) is in a quadrant (kendra) or trine (koṇa) house, or in the house of gain (lābha), or even in the house of wealth, then there will be marriage, initiation into a Vedic ritual (yajña-dīkṣā), acts of charity (dāna), righteous deeds (dharma), and other auspicious activities.
राजप्रीतिकरश्चैव विद्वज्जनसमागमः ।
मुक्तामणिप्रवालानि वाहनाम्बरभूषणम् ॥४३॥
43. rājaprītikaraścaiva vidvajjanasamāgamaḥ .
muktāmaṇipravālāni vāhanāmbarabhūṣaṇam.
43. rāja prīti karaḥ ca eva vidvat jana samāgamaḥ
muktā maṇi pravālāni vāhana ambara bhūṣaṇam
43. There will also be royal favor, association with learned people, and acquisitions of pearls, gems, corals, vehicles, clothes, and ornaments.
आरोग्यप्रीतिसौख्यं च सोमपानादिकं सुखम् ।
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा नीचगेऽपि वा ॥४४॥
44. ārogyaprītisaukhyaṃ ca somapānādikaṃ sukham .
dāyeśādripurandhrasthe vyaye vā nīcage'pi vā.
44. ārogya-prīti-saukhyam ca soma-pāna-ādikam sukham
dāyeśa-adri-purandhra-sthe vyaye vā nīcage api vā
44. Health, affection, happiness, and joy from soma-like drinks are generally anticipated. However, when the lord of the daśā (dāyeśa) is situated in the seventh, eighth, or twelfth house, or is debilitated...
तद्भुक्तौ देहबाधा च कृर्षिगोभूमिनाशनम् ।
कारागृहप्रवेशाश्च दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥४५॥
45. tadbhuktau dehabādhā ca kṛrṣigobhūmināśanam .
kārāgṛhapraveśāśca dāraputrādipīḍanam.
45. tat bhuktau deha-bādhā ca kṛṣi-go-bhūmi-nāśanam
kārāgṛha-praveśāḥ ca dāra-putra-ādi-pīḍanam
45. During that sub-period (bhukti), there will be bodily affliction, loss of agriculture, cows, and land, entry into prison, and distress for one's wife, children, and so on.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ज्वरपीडा महद्भयम् ।
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥४६॥
46. dvitīyadyūnanāthe tu jvarapīḍā mahadbhayam .
chāgadānaṃ prakurvīta viṣṇusāhasrakaṃ japet.
46. dvitīya-dyūna-nāthe tu jvara-pīḍā mahat bhayam
chāga-dānam pra-kurvīta viṣṇu-sāhasrakam japet
46. However, if the lord of the second and seventh houses (dvitīya-dyūna-nātha) is operative, there is affliction by fever and great fear. One should perform the offering of a goat (chāga-dāna) and chant the thousand names of Viṣṇu (Viṣṇu-Sāhasranāma).
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते केतौ केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
दुश्चिक्ये बलसंयुक्ते धनलाभं महत्सुखम् ॥४७॥
47. candrasyāntargate ketau kendralābhatrikoṇage .
duścikye balasaṃyukte dhanalābhaṃ mahatsukham.
47. candrasya antargate ketau kendra-lābha-trikoṇa-ge
duścikye bala-saṃyukte dhana-lābham mahat sukham
47. When Ketu is in the sub-period of the Moon (Candra) and is situated in a quadrant (kendra), the house of gains (lābha), or a trine (trikoṇa), and when the third house (duścikya) is endowed with strength, there will be gain of wealth and great happiness.
पुत्रदारादिसौख्यं च विधिकर्म करोति च ।
भुक्त्यादौ धनहानिः स्यान्मध्यगे सुखमाप्नुयात् ॥४८॥
48. putradārādisaukhyaṃ ca vidhikarma karoti ca .
bhuktyādau dhanahāniḥ syānmadhyage sukhamāpnuyāt.
48. putra-dāra-ādi-saukhyam ca vidhi-karma karoti ca
bhukti-ādau dhana-hāniḥ syāt madhyage sukham āpnuyāt
48. There will be happiness from children and wife, etc., and one performs prescribed religious duties (vidhi-karma). At the beginning of the sub-period (bhukti), there may be loss of wealth, but in the middle part, one attains happiness.
दायेशात्केन्द्रलाभे वा त्रिकोणे बलसंयुते ।
क्वचित्फलं दशादौ तु दद्यात् सौख्यं धनागमम् ॥४९॥
49. dāyeśātkendralābhe vā trikoṇe balasaṃyute .
kvacitphalaṃ daśādau tu dadyāt saukhyaṃ dhanāgamam.
49. dāyeśāt kendralābhe vā trikoṇe balasaṃyute kvacit
phalam daśādau tu dadyāt saukhyam dhanāgamam
49. When the lord of the planetary period (daśā) is located in an angle (kendra), an eleventh house (lābha), or a trine (trikoṇa), and is endowed with strength, it certainly bestows happiness and the acquisition of wealth at the beginning of its period.
गोमहिष्यादिलाभं च भुक्त्यन्ते चार्थनाशनम् ।
पापयुक्तेऽथवा दृष्टे दायेशाद्रन्ध्ररिःफगे ॥५०॥
50. gomahiṣyādilābhaṃ ca bhuktyante cārthanāśanam .
pāpayukte'thavā dṛṣṭe dāyeśādrandhrariḥphage.
50. gomahiṣyādilābham ca bhuktyante ca arthanāśanam
pāpayukte athavā dṛṣṭe dāyeśāt randhrariḥphage
50. Furthermore, there will be gains of cows, buffaloes, and similar animals. However, if (the Daśā lord is) conjoined with or aspected by malefic planets, or if (it is) situated in the eighth or twelfth house from itself, then there will be a loss of wealth at the end of the planetary period.
शत्रुतः कार्यहानिः स्यादकस्मात्कलहो ध्रुवम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूनराशिस्त्य्हे ह्यनारोग्यं महद्भयम् ॥५१॥
51. śatrutaḥ kāryahāniḥ syādakasmātkalaho dhruvam .
dvitīyadyūnarāśistyhe hyanārogyaṃ mahadbhayam.
51. śatrutaḥ kāryahāniḥ syāt akasmāt kalahaḥ dhruvam
dvitīyadyūnarāśisthite hi anārogyam mahatbhayam
51. There will be loss of undertakings due to enemies, and certainly sudden quarrels. If (the Daśā lord is) situated in the second or seventh house (from itself), then indeed there will be ill-health and great fear.
मृत्युञ्जयजपं कुर्यात् सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायकम् ।
ततः शान्तिमवाप्नोति शङ्करस्य प्रसादतः ॥५२॥
52. mṛtyuñjayajapaṃ kuryāt sarvasampatpradāyakam .
tataḥ śāntimavāpnoti śaṅkarasya prasādataḥ.
52. mṛtyuñjayajapam kuryāt sarvasampatpradāyakam
tataḥ śāntim avāpnoti śaṅkarasya prasādataḥ
52. One should perform the Mṛtyuñjaya (japa) recitation, which bestows all prosperity. Thereafter, one attains peace by the grace of Śaṅkara.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे वापि राज्यलाभं करोति च ॥५३॥
53. candrasyāntargate śukre kendralābhatrikoṇage .
svocce svakṣetrage vāpi rājyalābhaṃ karoti ca.

53. When Venus (śukra) is in the sub-period (antargata) of the Moon (candra), and is situated in an angle (kendra), an eleventh house (lābha), or a trine (trikoṇa), or in its own exaltation sign, or in its own sign, then it causes the acquisition of high status or a kingdom (rājyalābha).
महाराजप्रसादेन वाहनाम्बरभूषणम् ।
चतुष्पाज्जिवलाभः स्याद्दारपुत्रादिवर्धनम् ॥५४॥
54. mahārājaprasādena vāhanāmbarabhūṣaṇam .
catuṣpājjivalābhaḥ syāddāraputrādivardhanam.

catuṣpājjivalābhaḥ syāt dāraputrādivardhanam
54. By the grace of the great king, there will be gains in vehicles, clothing, ornaments, quadrupeds (animals), and an increase in wife, sons, and so forth.
नूतनागारनिर्माणं नित्यं मिष्ठान्नभोजनं ।
सुगन्धपुष्पमाल्यादिरम्यस्त्र्यारोग्यसम्पदम् ॥५५॥
55. nūtanāgāranirmāṇaṃ nityaṃ miṣṭhānnabhojanaṃ .
sugandhapuṣpamālyādiramyastryārogyasampadam.

55. There will be construction of new houses, constant enjoyment of sweet food, and the acquisition of fragrant flowers, garlands, beautiful women, health, and prosperity.
दशाधिपेन संयुक्ते देहसौख्यं महत्सुखम् ।
सत्कीर्तिसुखसम्पत्तिगृहक्षेत्रादिवृद्धिकृत् ॥५६॥
56. daśādhipena saṃyukte dehasaukhyaṃ mahatsukham .
satkīrtisukhasampattigṛhakṣetrādivṛddhikṛt.
56. daśādhipena saṃyukte dehasaukhyam mahatsukham
satkīrtisukhasampattigṛhakṣetrādivṛddhikṛt
56. When (the planet) is conjoined with the lord of the daśā, there will be bodily comfort and great happiness, bringing about an increase in good reputation, happiness, prosperity, houses, fields, and so forth.
नीचे वाऽस्तङ्गते शुक्रे पापग्रहयुतेक्षिते ।
भूनाशः पुत्रमित्रादिनाशनं पत्निनाशनम् ॥५७॥
57. nīce vā'staṅgate śukre pāpagrahayutekṣite .
bhūnāśaḥ putramitrādināśanaṃ patnināśanam.
57. nīce vā astaṅgate śukre pāpagrahayuta īkṣite
bhūnāśaḥ putramitrādināśanam patnināśanam
57. When Venus (śukra) is debilitated or combust, and conjoined with or aspected by malefic planets, there will be loss of land, loss of sons, friends, and so forth, and loss of wife.
चतुष्पाज्जिवहानिः स्याद्राजद्वारे विरोधकृत् ।
धनस्थानगते शुक्रे स्वच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुते ॥५८॥
58. catuṣpājjivahāniḥ syādrājadvāre virodhakṛt .
dhanasthānagate śukre svacce svakṣetrasaṃyute.
58. catuṣpājjivahāniḥ syāt rājadvāre virodhakṛt
dhanasthānagate śukre svacce svakṣetrasaṃyute
58. There will be loss of quadrupeds (animals) and creation of opposition at the royal court. (These effects occur) when Venus (śukra) is in the house of wealth, in its exalted sign, or situated in its own sign.
निधिलाभं महत्सौख्यं भू लाभं पुत्रसम्भवम् ।
भाग्यलाभादिपैर्युक्ते भाग्यवृद्धिः करोत्यसौ ॥५९॥
59. nidhilābhaṃ mahatsaukhyaṃ bhū lābhaṃ putrasambhavam .
bhāgyalābhādipairyukte bhāgyavṛddhiḥ karotyasau.
59. nidhilābham mahatsaukhyam bhū lābham putrasambhavam
bhāgyalābhādhipaiḥ yukte bhāgyavṛddhiḥ karoti asau
59. There will be acquisition of treasure, great happiness, gain of land, and the birth of a son. When associated with the lords of fortune (bhāgya) and gain (lābha), it causes an increase in prosperity.
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ।
देवब्राह्मणभक्तिश्च मुक्तविद्रुमलाभकृत् ॥६०॥
60. mahārājaprasādena sveṣṭasiddhiḥ sukhāvahā .
devabrāhmaṇabhaktiśca muktavidrumalābhakṛt.
60. mahārājaprasādena sveṣṭasiddhiḥ sukhāvahā
devabrāhmaṇabhaktiḥ ca muktavidrumalābhakṛt
60. This brings the fulfillment of one's desires, yielding happiness, through the grace of a great king. There is also devotion (bhakti) to gods and Brahmins, and the acquisition of pearls and coral.
दायशाल्लाभगे शुक्रे त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च वित्तलाभो महत्सुखम् ॥६१॥
61. dāyaśāllābhage śukre trikoṇe kendrage'pi vā .
gṛhakṣetrābhivṛddhiśca vittalābho mahatsukham.
61. dāyeśāt lābhage śukre trikoṇe kendrage api vā
gṛhakṣetrābhivṛddhiḥ ca vittalābhaḥ mahatsukham
61. When a planet is situated in the eleventh house (lābha) from the Daśā lord, or if Venus (Śukra) is in a trine (trikoṇa) or quadrant (kendra) house, there will be an increase in home and land, acquisition of wealth, and great happiness.
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
विदेशवासदुःखार्तिमृत्युचौरादिपीडनम् ॥६२॥
62. dāyeśādripurandhrasthe vyaye vā pāpasaṃyute .
videśavāsaduḥkhārtimṛtyucaurādipīḍanam.
62. dāyeśāt ripurandhrasthe vyaye vā pāpasaṃyute
videśavāsaduḥkhārtimṛtyucaurādipīḍanam
62. If a planet is situated in the 6th (ripu) or 8th (randhra) house from the Daśā lord, or in the 12th house (vyaya), or is conjoined with malefic planets (pāpa), there will be suffering from foreign residence, distress, death, and harassment from thieves and the like.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु अपमृत्युभयं भवेत् ।
तद्दोषविनिवृत्त्यर्थं रुद्रजाप्यं च कारयेत् ॥६३॥
63. dvitīyadyūnanāthe tu apamṛtyubhayaṃ bhavet .
taddoṣavinivṛttyarthaṃ rudrajāpyaṃ ca kārayet.
63. dvitīyadyūnanāthe tu apamṛtyubhayam bhavet
taddoṣavinivṛttyartham rudrajāpyam ca kārayet
63. However, if the lord of the second house (dvitīya) and the lord of the seventh house (dyūna) are unfavorably situated, there may be fear of untimely death. To alleviate this affliction, one should arrange for the recitation of Rudra mantras.
श्वेतां गां रजतं दद्याच्छन्तिमाप्नोत्यसंशयः ।
शङ्करस्य प्रसादेन नाऽत्र कार्या विचारणा ॥६४॥
64. śvetāṃ gāṃ rajataṃ dadyācchantimāpnotyasaṃśayaḥ .
śaṅkarasya prasādena nā'tra kāryā vicāraṇā.
64. śvetām gām rajatam dadyāt śāntim āpnoti asaṁśayaḥ
| śaṅkarasya prasādena na atra kāryā vicāraṇā
64. By donating a white cow and silver, one undoubtedly attains peace (śānti). Through the grace of Śaṅkara, there is no need for further deliberation on this matter.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते भानौ स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुते ।
केन्द्रे त्रिकोणे लाभे वा धने वा सोदरालये ॥६५॥
65. candrasyāntargate bhānau svocce svakṣetrasaṃyute .
kendre trikoṇe lābhe vā dhane vā sodarālaye.

65. When the Sun is within the Moon's planetary sub-period (antardasha), and is situated in its own exaltation sign or conjoined with its own sign, placed in a Kendra (angular house), Trikona (trine house), the 11th house (lābha), the 2nd house (dhana), or the 3rd house (sodarālaya)...
नष्टराज्यधनप्राप्तिर्गृहे कल्याणशोभनम् ।
मित्रराजप्रसादेन ग्रामभूम्यादिलाभ्कृत् ॥६६॥
66. naṣṭarājyadhanaprāptirgṛhe kalyāṇaśobhanam .
mitrarājaprasādena grāmabhūmyādilābhkṛt.
66. naṣṭarājyadhanaprāptiḥ gṛhe kalyāṇaśobhanam

66. There will be the recovery of lost kingdom and wealth, auspiciousness and prosperity at home, and through the grace of a friendly ruler, one gains villages, land, and other assets.
गर्भाधानफलप्राप्तिर्गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ।
भुक्त्यन्ते देह आलस्यं ज्वरपीडा भविष्यति ॥६७॥
67. garbhādhānaphalaprāptirgṛhe lakṣmīḥ kaṭākṣakṛt .
bhuktyante deha ālasyaṃ jvarapīḍā bhaviṣyati.

67. There will be the attainment of conception and childbirth, and the goddess Lakṣmī will bestow her favor upon the home. However, towards the end of the planetary sub-period (bhukti), there will be bodily lethargy and the onset of feverish ailments.
दायेशादपि रन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
नृपचौराहिभीतिश्च ज्वररोगादिसम्भवः ॥६८॥
68. dāyeśādapi randhrasthe vyaye vā pāpasaṃyute .
nṛpacaurāhibhītiśca jvararogādisambhavaḥ.
68. dāyeśāt api randhrasthe vyaye vā pāpasaṁyute
| nṛpacaurāhibhītiḥ ca jvararogādisambhavaḥ
68. If the planetary lord of the daśā (planetary period) is even situated in the 8th house (randhra) or the 12th house (vyaya), or is conjoined with malefic planets, then there will be fear from rulers, thieves, and snakes, and the likelihood of fever and other diseases.
विदेशगमने चार्ति लभते न संशयः ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ज्वरपीडा भविष्यति ॥६९॥
69. videśagamane cārti labhate na saṃśayaḥ .

dvitīyadyūnanāthe tu jvarapīḍā bhaviṣyati
69. There is no doubt that one experiences distress when traveling to foreign lands. However, when the planet ruling both the second and seventh houses is afflicted, then suffering from fever will occur.
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवपूजां च कारयेत् ।
ततः शान्तिभवाप्नोति शाङ्करस्य प्रसादतः ॥७०॥
70. taddoṣaparihārārthaṃ śivapūjāṃ ca kārayet .
tataḥ śāntibhavāpnoti śāṅkarasya prasādataḥ.
70. taddoṣaparihārārtham śivapūjām ca kārayet
tataḥ śāntibhava āpnoti śāṅkarasya prasādataḥ
70. For the purpose of remedying that defect, one should also perform worship of Shiva (śiva-pūjā). Thereafter, one obtains a peaceful existence through the grace of Shankara (Shiva).
