रव्यादिसप्तखेटानां प्रोक्तं भावफलं मया ।

I have already explained the house-specific results of the seven planets, beginning with the Sun. Now, I will describe the results of the invisible planets.
शूरो विमलनेत्रांशः सुस्तब्धो निर्घृणः खलः ।
मूर्तिस्थे धूमसंज्ञे च गाढरोषो नरः सदा ॥२॥

2. śūro vimalanetrāṃśaḥ sustabdho nirghṛṇaḥ khalaḥ .

When the planet Dhūma (dhūma) is situated in the first house (mūrti), the person will always be brave, clear-eyed, very obstinate, merciless, wicked, and exceedingly wrathful.
रोगी धनी तु हीनाङ्गो राज्यापहृतमानसः ।
धूमे द्वितीये सम्प्राप्ते मन्दप्रज्ञो नपुंसकः ॥३॥

When Dhūma (dhūma) is situated in the second house, the person will be sickly, wealthy yet having defective limbs, with a mind stolen by the state (i.e., serving the ruler), dull-witted, and impotent.
मतिमान् शौर्यसम्पन्न इष्टचितः प्रियंवदः ।
धूमे सहजभावस्थे जनाढ्यो धनवान् भवेत् ॥४॥

When Dhūma (dhūma) is situated in the third house (sahajabhāva), the person will be intelligent, endowed with valor, of agreeable disposition, a kind speaker, surrounded by many people, and wealthy.
कलत्राङ्गपरित्यक्तो नित्यं मनसि दुःखितः ।
धूमे चतुर्थे सम्प्राप्ते सर्वशास्त्रार्थचिन्तकः ॥५॥

When Dhūma (dhūma) is situated in the fourth house, the person will be abandoned by their spouse and physically frail, constantly distressed in mind, and a contemplator of the meanings of all scriptures.
स्वल्पापत्यो धनैर्हीनो धूमे पञ्चमसंस्थिते ।
गुरुत सर्वभक्षं च सुहृन्मन्त्रविवर्जितः ॥६॥

When Dhūma is situated in the fifth house, the person has few children, is devoid of wealth, is greedy towards elders, and is deprived of friends and guidance (mantra).
बलवाञ्छत्रुवधको धूमे च रिपुभावगे ।
बहुतेजोयुतः ख्यातः सदा रोगविवर्जितः ॥७॥

When Dhūma is in the sixth house (the house of enemies), the person is strong, a slayer of enemies, endowed with great splendor, famous, and always free from disease.
निर्धनः सततं कामी परदारेषु कोविदः ।
धूमे सप्तमगे जातो निस्तेजाः सर्वदा भवेत् ॥८॥

When Dhūma is in the seventh house, the native is born without wealth, is constantly lustful, skilled in approaching other men's wives, and always devoid of splendor.
विक्रमेण परित्यक्तः सोत्साहो सत्यसङ्गरः ।
अप्रियो निष्ठुरः स्वार्थी धूमे मृत्युगते सति ॥९॥

9. vikrameṇa parityaktaḥ sotsāho satyasaṅgaraḥ .

When Dhūma is situated in the eighth house (the house of death), the person is forsaken by valor, but is enthusiastic and truthful in his commitments; he is also unliked, harsh, and selfish.
सुतसौभाग्यसम्पन्नो धनी मानी दयान्वितः ।
धर्मस्थाने स्थिते धूमे धर्मवान् बन्धुवत्सलः ॥१०॥

When Dhūma is situated in the ninth house (the house of dharma), the person is endowed with children and good fortune, is wealthy, honorable, compassionate, righteous (dharmavān), and affectionate towards relatives.
सुतसौभाग्यसंयुक्तः सन्तोषी मतिमान् सुखी ।
कर्मस्थे मानवो नित्यं धूमे सत्यपदस्थितः ॥११॥

When Dhūma is in the tenth house (karma), a person is always endowed with good fortune concerning children, contented, intelligent, happy, and established on the path of truth.
धनधान्यहिरण्याढ्यो रूपवांश्च कलान्वितः ।
धूमे लाभगते चैव विनीतो गीतकोविदः ॥१२॥

12. dhanadhānyahiraṇyāḍhyo rūpavāṃśca kalānvitaḥ .

When Dhūma is in the house of gain, a person is rich in wealth, grains, and gold; handsome and endowed with various arts; also humble and skilled in music.
पतितः पापकर्मा च धूमे द्वादशसङ्गते ।
परदारेषु संसक्तो व्यसनी निर्घृणः शठः ॥१३॥

13. patitaḥ pāpakarmā ca dhūme dvādaśasaṅgate .

When Dhūma is associated with the twelfth house, a person becomes fallen, one who performs sinful deeds (karma), addicted to other men's wives, given to vices, merciless, and deceitful.
लग्ने पाते च सम्प्राप्ते जातको दुःखीपीडितः ।
क्रूरो घातकरो मूर्खो द्वेषी बन्धुजनस्य च ॥१४॥

When both Lagna (ascendant) and Pāta (an astrological point) are present, the native is afflicted with sorrow, cruel, harmful, foolish, and hateful towards relatives.
जिह्मोऽतिपित्तवान् भोगी धनस्थे पातसंज्ञके ।
निर्घृणश्चाऽकृतज्ञश्च दुष्टात्मा पापकृत्तथा ॥१५॥

15.
When Pāta is situated in the house of wealth, the person is crooked, prone to excessive bile, a pleasure-seeker, merciless, ungrateful, evil-minded (duṣṭātman), and also a perpetrator of sinful deeds.
स्थिरप्रज्ञो रणी दाता धनाढ्यो राजवल्लभः ।
सम्प्राप्ते सहजे पाते सेनाधीशो भवेन्नरः ॥१६॥

16. sthiraprajño raṇī dātā dhanāḍhyo rājavallabhaḥ .

When (an astrological configuration called) pāta occurs in the third house (sahaja), a person becomes firm in intellect, a warrior, generous, wealthy, dear to the king, and an army commander.
बन्धव्याधिसमायुक्तः सुतसौभाग्यवर्जितः ।
चतुर्थगो यदा पातस्तदा स्यान्मनुजश्च सः ॥१७॥

When that pāta is located in the fourth house (caturthaga), then that person becomes afflicted with imprisonment and diseases, and deprived of children and good fortune.
दरिद्रो रूपसंयुक्तः पाते पञ्चमगे सति ।
कफपित्तानिलैर्युक्तो निष्ठुरो निरपत्रपः ॥१८॥

18.
When pāta is in the fifth house (pañcamage), a person is poor, handsome, afflicted by phlegm (kapha), bile (pitta), and wind (anila) (doshas), harsh, and shameless.
शत्रुहन्ता सुपुष्टश्च सर्वास्त्राणां च चालकः ।
कलासु निपुणः शान्तः पाते शत्रुगते सति ॥१९॥

19. śatruhantā supuṣṭaśca sarvāstrāṇāṃ ca cālakaḥ .

When pāta is located in the sixth house (śatru-gata), a person becomes a slayer of enemies, very robust, a wielder of all weapons, proficient in arts, and peaceful.

पाते कलत्रगे कामी निर्लज्जः परसौहृदः ॥२०॥

20.
When pāta is located in the seventh house (kalatra-gata), a person is abandoned by wealth, wife, and children, dominated by women, afflicted by misery, lustful, shameless, and friendly towards others (possibly implying infidelity).
विकलाक्षो विरूपश्च दुर्भगो द्विजनिन्दकः ।
मृत्युस्थाने स्थिते पाते रक्तपीडापरिप्लुतः ॥२१॥

21. vikalākṣo virūpaśca durbhago dvijanindakaḥ .

If Pāta (the celestial body) is situated in the eighth house (the house of death), the person will have defective eyes, be deformed, unfortunate, censure the twice-born (dvija), and be afflicted by blood-related diseases.

22.
If Pāta (the celestial body) is in the ninth house (the house of dharma), the person will always be engaged in many undertakings, have many friends, be very learned, be fond of women, and speak pleasantly.
सश्रीको धर्मकृछान्तो धर्मकार्येषु कोविदः ।
कर्मस्थे पातसंज्ञे हि महाप्राज्ञो विचक्षणः ॥२३॥

23. saśrīko dharmakṛchānto dharmakāryeṣu kovidaḥ .
karmasthe pātasaṃjñe hi mahāprājño vicakṣaṇaḥ.

sa-śrīkaḥ dharma-kṛt śāntaḥ dharma-kāryeṣu kovidaḥ

23.
Indeed, when the celestial body (Pāta) is situated in the tenth house (the house of action or karma), the person is endowed with prosperity, performs righteous deeds (dharma), is peaceful, skilled in (dharma) activities, very wise, and discerning.
प्रभूतधनवान् मानी सत्यवादी दृढव्रतः ।
अश्वढ्यो गीतसंसक्तः पाते लाभगते सति ॥२४॥

24. prabhūtadhanavān mānī satyavādī dṛḍhavrataḥ .

If Pāta is present in the eleventh house (the house of gains), the person will possess abundant wealth, be honorable, truthful, steadfast in their vows, rich in horses, and fond of music.

व्ययस्थाने गते पाते विद्वेषी निजबन्धुषु ॥२५॥

25. kopī ca bahukarmāḍhayo vyaṃgo dharmasya dūṣakaḥ .

If Pāta is present in the twelfth house (the house of expenditure or loss), the person will be wrathful, engaged in numerous undertakings, deformed, a defiler of (dharma), and hostile towards their own relatives.
विद्वान् सत्यरतः शान्तो धनवान् पुत्रवाञ्छुचिः ।
परिधो तनुगे दाता जायते गुरुवत्सलः ॥२६॥

26. vidvān satyarataḥ śānto dhanavān putravāñchuciḥ .

When Paridhi is in the first house (tanu-ge), a person becomes learned, devoted to truth, peaceful, wealthy, blessed with children, pure, generous, and affectionate towards teachers (guru).

When Paridhi is in the fourth house (house of happiness), it makes the person filled with wonder, brings auspiciousness regarding enemies, makes them not cruel, complete, and expert in music.

When the Prāṇapada is in the fourth house (sukha-sthāna), the person will indeed be happy, charming, beloved by friends and beautiful women, solely devoted to their preceptor (guru), peaceful, and truly intent on truth.

When the Prāṇapada is in the fifth house, the person enjoys happiness, is indeed endowed with virtuous actions, possesses compassion towards offenders, and has all their desires fulfilled.

षष्ठे प्राणपदे रोगी वित्तपोऽल्पायुरेव च ॥७९॥

When the Prāṇapada is in the sixth house, the person becomes subservient to relatives and enemies, is cruel, suffers from weak digestion, is merciless, wicked, sickly, loses wealth, and is indeed short-lived.

When the Prāṇapada is in the seventh house, the person is always envious, lustful, intensely fierce in body or nature, difficult to please, and evil-minded.

When the Prāṇapada (a specific astrological point) is situated in the eighth house, the native will have a body afflicted by diseases and will be tormented by worldly sorrows originating from death, relatives, and children.

If the Prāṇapada (a specific astrological point) is situated in the house of natural law (dharma), the native will have children, be endowed with wealth, be fortunate, and possess a pleasing appearance. They will also be a discerning and always virtuous servant (bhṛtya).

Verily, when the Prāṇapada (a specific astrological point) is in the tenth house, the native will be valorous, intelligent, skillful, and knowledgeable in royal affairs. They will also be devoted to the worship of deities.

When the Prāṇapada (a specific astrological point) is situated in the house of gains (lābha-sthāna), the native is famous, virtuous, and wise. They are an enjoyer of pleasures, endowed with wealth, fair-bodied, and devoted to their mother.

When the Prāṇapada (a specific astrological point) is in the twelfth house (vyaya-sthāna), the native is born mean and wicked, possesses deficient limbs, and is hostile towards Brahmins (dvija) and relatives. Such a person also suffers from eye disease or is one-eyed.

Thus, O Brahmin, the effects of the non-luminous planets have been stated. Similarly, [I will describe] those of the luminous planets such as the Sun and others, which move in the sky.
तानि स्थितिवशात्तेषां स्फुटदृष्टिवशात् तथा ।
बलाऽबलविवेकेन वक्तव्यानि शरीरिणाम् ॥८७॥
