पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
इत्येवमुक्तो बहुशो जडत्वान्नाह किञ्चन ।
पितापि तं सुबहुशः प्राह प्रीत्या पुनः पुनः ॥१३॥

13. pakṣiṇa ūcuḥ .
ityevamukto bahuśo jaḍatvānnāha kiñcana .
pitāpi taṃ subahuśaḥ prāha prītyā punaḥ punaḥ.

13.
The birds said: "Even after being spoken to repeatedly, he said nothing due to his dullness. His father, too, affectionately addressed him again and again, many times."
