मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-10, verse-10

वेदानधीष्व सुमते यथानुक्रममादितः ।
गुरुशुश्रूषणे व्यग्रो भैक्षान्नकृतभोजनः ॥१०॥
10. vedānadhīṣva sumate yathānukramamāditaḥ .
guruśuśrūṣaṇe vyagro bhaikṣānnakṛtabhojanaḥ.

10. O intelligent one, study the Vedas from the beginning in due order. Be diligent in serving your teacher and sustain yourself with food obtained by begging.
