When Mars (Bhauma) is situated in its highest exaltation, or in its own sign of exaltation, or in its Mūlatrikoṇa sign, or in its own sign, or in a Kendra (angular) or Trikona (trine) house, or in the house of gain (the 11th), or even in the house of wealth (the 2nd).
