महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-28, verse-52

एवमुक्त्वा महाराज प्राविशत्तं ह्रदं नृपः ।
अस्तम्भयत तोयं च मायया मनुजाधिपः ॥५२॥

52. evamuktvā mahārāja prāviśattaṁ hradaṁ nṛpaḥ ,
astambhayata toyaṁ ca māyayā manujādhipaḥ.

52. Having spoken thus, O great king, the ruler (Duryodhana) entered that lake. And that lord of men (Duryodhana) immobilized the water through his mystic power (māyā).
