महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-93, verse-9

अथ षष्ठे गते काले यवप्रस्थमुपार्जयत् ।
यवप्रस्थं च ते सक्तूनकुर्वन्त तपस्विनः ॥९॥
9. atha ṣaṣṭhe gate kāle yavaprasthamupārjayat ,
yavaprasthaṁ ca te saktūnakurvanta tapasvinaḥ.

9. Then, after the sixth period had passed, he acquired a prastha of barley. And those ascetics, using that prastha of barley, prepared barley meal.
