महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-93, verse-72

रन्तिदेवो हि नृपतिरपः प्रादादकिंचनः ।
शुद्धेन मनसा विप्र नाकपृष्ठं ततो गतः ॥७२॥
72. rantidevo hi nṛpatirapaḥ prādādakiṁcanaḥ ,
śuddhena manasā vipra nākapṛṣṭhaṁ tato gataḥ.
72. Rantidevaḥ hi nṛpatiḥ apaḥ prādāt akiñcanaḥ
śuddhena manasā vipra nākapṛṣṭham tataḥ gataḥ
72. vipra Rantidevaḥ nṛpatiḥ akiñcanaḥ hi apaḥ

72. King Rantideva, though possessing nothing, indeed gave water. With a pure mind, O brahmin, he thereupon went to the highest heaven.
