पितोवाच ।
रूपेण सदृशस्त्वं मे शीलेन च दमेन च ।
परीक्षितश्च बहुधा सक्तूनादद्मि ते ततः ॥३८॥

parīkṣitaśca bahudhā saktūnādadmi te tataḥ.

38. The father said: You are similar to me in appearance, character, and self-control. Furthermore, you have been tested in various ways. Therefore, I will accept your groats.
