महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-93, verse-45

पितॄंस्त्राणात्तारयति पुत्र इत्यनुशुश्रुम ।
पुत्रपौत्रैश्च नियतं साधुलोकानुपाश्नुते ॥४५॥
45. pitṝṁstrāṇāttārayati putra ityanuśuśruma ,
putrapautraiśca niyataṁ sādhulokānupāśnute.
45. pitṝn trāṇāt tārayati putraḥ iti anuśuśruma
putra-pautraiḥ ca niyatam sādhu-lokān anupāśnute
45. anuśuśruma iti putraḥ trāṇāt pitṝn tārayati ca
putra-pautraiḥ niyatam sādhu-lokān anupāśnute
45. A son saves his ancestors (pitṛs) by delivering them; thus we have heard. And by means of sons and grandsons, one certainly attains the realms of the virtuous.
