षष्ठे काले तदा विप्रो भुङ्क्ते तैः सह सुव्रतः ।

4. tadā suvratas vipraḥ ṣaṣṭhe kāle taiḥ
saha bhuṅkte ca kadācit ṣaṣṭhe kāle
tasya āhāraḥ na vidyate kadācit saḥ
dvijottamaḥ anyasmin ṣaṣṭhe kāle bhuṅkte

4. Then, at the sixth period, the pious brahmin would eat with them. And sometimes, at the sixth period, his food was not available. Sometimes, that best of twice-born would eat on another occasion at the sixth period.
