महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-94, verse-87

राज्यं तावत्पूर्वमेव मया त्यक्तं नराधिप ।
अपत्यहेतोरपि च करोम्येष विनिश्चयम् ॥८७॥
87. rājyaṁ tāvatpūrvameva mayā tyaktaṁ narādhipa ,
apatyahetorapi ca karomyeṣa viniścayam.

87. O ruler of men, the kingdom has already been renounced by me. And now, for the sake of offspring, I make this firm resolve.
