महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-94, verse-5

एतान्यासन्महासत्त्वे शंतनौ भरतर्षभ ।
न चास्य सदृशः कश्चित्क्षत्रियो धर्मतोऽभवत् ॥५॥
5. etānyāsanmahāsattve śaṁtanau bharatarṣabha ,
na cāsya sadṛśaḥ kaścitkṣatriyo dharmato'bhavat.
5. etāni āsan mahāsattve śaṃtanau bharatarṣabha | na
ca asya sadṛśaḥ kaścit kṣatriyaḥ dharmataḥ abhavat
5. O best of Bharatas, these qualities were present in the great-souled Śantanu. Indeed, there was no other kṣatriya equal to him in adherence to dharma.
