महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-94, verse-32

वेदानधिजगे साङ्गान्वसिष्ठादेव वीर्यवान् ।
कृतास्त्रः परमेष्वासो देवराजसमो युधि ॥३२॥
32. vedānadhijage sāṅgānvasiṣṭhādeva vīryavān ,
kṛtāstraḥ parameṣvāso devarājasamo yudhi.

32. This powerful boy learned the Vedas, along with their auxiliary branches, from Sage Vasishtha himself. He became skilled in weaponry, a supreme archer, and equal to Indra, the king of the gods, in battle.
