वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-10, verse-25

त्रीन्मासानष्टमासांश्च राघवो न्यवसत् सुखम् ।
तथा संवसतस्तस्य मुनीनामाश्रमेषु वै ।
रमतश्चानुकुल्येन ययुः संवत्सरा दश ॥२५॥
25. trīnmāsānaṣṭamāsāṃśca rāghavo nyavasat sukham ,
tathā saṃvasatastasya munīnāmāśrameṣu vai ,
ramataścānukulyena yayuḥ saṃvatsarā daśa.

25. Rāghava (Rāma) resided happily, sometimes for three months, and sometimes for eight months. As he was thus residing and enjoying himself agreeably in the hermitages (āśrama) of the sages, ten years indeed passed.
