ब्रह्मोवाच ।
नात्तव्यन्ते जगदिदं जहि कोपं शमं व्रज ।
त्यजैनान्तामसी वृत्तिमपास्य रजसः कलाम् ॥४१॥

nāttavyante jagadidaṃ jahi kopaṃ śamaṃ vraja .
tyajaināntāmasī vṛttimapāsya rajasaḥ kalām.

brahmā uvāca na attavyam te jagat idam jahi kopam śamam
vraja tyaja enām tāmasīm vṛttim apāsya rajasaḥ kalām

Brahmā said, 'This world is not to be devoured by you. Abandon your anger and embrace tranquility. Give up this dark (tāmasī) disposition and discard the element of passion (rajas).'
