मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-50, verse-17

प्रजापतिः स जग्राह तयोर्यज्ञः सदक्षिणः ।
पुत्रो जज्ञे महाभाग दम्पतीमिथुनं ततः ॥१७॥
17. prajāpatiḥ sa jagrāha tayoryajñaḥ sadakṣiṇaḥ .
putro jajñe mahābhāga dampatīmithunaṃ tataḥ.

17. Prajāpati accepted their Vedic ritual (yajña) along with its sacrificial fees. Then, O highly fortunate one, a son was born, and thereafter a male and female pair (of twins) was also born.
