अर्धनारीनरवपुः पुरुषोऽतिशरीरवान् ।
विभजात्मानमित्युक्त्वा स तदान्तर्दधे ततः ॥१०॥

The supreme cosmic person (puruṣa), possessing a form that was half-woman and half-man, and who was exceedingly embodied, declared, 'Divide yourself (ātman)!' Having said this, he then vanished from that place.
