महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-114, verse-9

ततः क्रुद्धो रणे कर्णः पीडितो दृढधन्वना ।
वेगं चक्रे महावेगो भीमसेनवधं प्रति ॥९॥
9. tataḥ kruddho raṇe karṇaḥ pīḍito dṛḍhadhanvanā ,
vegaṁ cakre mahāvego bhīmasenavadhaṁ prati.

9. Then Karna, enraged in battle and distressed by the firm-bowman (Bhimasena), being of great impetuosity, swiftly moved towards the slaying of Bhimasena.
