महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-114, verse-18

हस्त्यश्वनरदेहांश्च गतासून्प्रेक्ष्य सर्वतः ।
सूतपुत्रस्य संरम्भाद्दीप्तं वपुरजायत ॥१८॥
18. hastyaśvanaradehāṁśca gatāsūnprekṣya sarvataḥ ,
sūtaputrasya saṁrambhāddīptaṁ vapurajāyata.

18. And seeing the lifeless bodies of elephants, horses, and men everywhere, a blazing form (vapus) arose from the great fury of Karna (sūtaputra).
