श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
काष्ठक्रकचयोः श्लेषाद्यथा छेदः प्रवर्तते ।
द्वयोः संघर्षणादग्निः स्वभावाज्जायते तथा ॥ ६२ ॥

kāṣṭhakrakacayoḥ śleṣādyathā chedaḥ pravartate ,
dvayoḥ saṃgharṣaṇādagniḥ svabhāvājjāyate tathā 62

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Just as cutting (cheda) occurs from the contact between wood and a saw, so too does fire naturally arise from the friction of two (objects).
