शुद्धया पुण्यया साधो क्रियया साधुसेवया ।
मनः प्रयाति नैर्मल्यं निकषेणेव काञ्चनम् ॥ ४० ॥

manaḥ prayāti nairmalyaṃ nikaṣeṇeva kāñcanam 40

40. sādho śuddhayā puṇyayā kriyayā sādhusevayā
manaḥ nikaṣeṇa iva kāñcanam nairmalyam prayāti

40. O good man (sādho), through pure and meritorious action, and by serving saintly people, the mind achieves purity, just like gold (is purified) by a touchstone.
