अर्कः पीत्वा निशानाथमामावास्यं पुनःपुनः ।
उद्गिरत्यमले पक्षे मृणालमिव सारसः ॥ ९३ ॥

93. The sun (arkaḥ), having repeatedly absorbed the moon (niśānātha) during its new moon (āmāvāsya) phase, then emits it in the bright fortnight, just as a crane (sārasaḥ) extracts a lotus stalk.
