महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-290, verse-70

ततस्तान्सुकृतीन्सांख्यान्सूर्यो वहति रश्मिभिः ।
पद्मतन्तुवदाविश्य प्रवहन्विषयान्नृप ॥७०॥
70. tatastānsukṛtīnsāṁkhyānsūryo vahati raśmibhiḥ ,
padmatantuvadāviśya pravahanviṣayānnṛpa.

padmatantuvat āviśya pravahan viṣayān nṛpa
70. nṛpa tataḥ sūryaḥ raśmibhiḥ padmatantuvat āviśya
pravahan tān sukṛtīn sāṅkhyān viṣayān vahati
70. O king (nṛpa), then the sun (sūrya) carries those virtuous (sukṛtin) followers of knowledge (sāṅkhya) by its rays. Pervading them like a lotus fiber, it conveys them through the various realms.
