महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-290, verse-22

बुद्धिं तमसि संसक्तां तमो रजसि चाश्रितम् ।
रजः सत्त्वे तथा सक्तं सत्त्वं सक्तं तथात्मनि ॥२२॥
22. buddhiṁ tamasi saṁsaktāṁ tamo rajasi cāśritam ,
rajaḥ sattve tathā saktaṁ sattvaṁ saktaṁ tathātmani.
