पिता चैव जनित्री च श्रान्तौ वृत्तोत्सवाविव ।
अप्रभुत्वे स्थितौ वृद्धावन्नं प्रार्थयतः सुतान् ॥७२॥

72. pitā caiva janitrī ca śrāntau vṛttotsavāviva ,
aprabhutve sthitau vṛddhāvannaṁ prārthayataḥ sutān.

72. pitā ca eva janitrī ca śrāntau vṛttotsavau iva
aprabhutve sthitau vṛddhau annam prārthayataḥ sutān

72. pitā ca janitrī ca śrāntau vṛttotsavau iva vṛddhau
aprabhutve sthitau sutān annam prārthayataḥ

72. The father and the mother, both exhausted and joyless, as if their festive days are over, find themselves old and powerless, and thus they ask their sons for food.
